  1. That's pretty funny. I tried this myself as Union with Determined Confederate AI and I won a "Decisive Victory", Union lost 8967 men and Confederates lost 11376.
  2. Determined is definitely the best. They don't suicide charge they exploit opportunities. Other modes usually have parts of the AI army be unnecessarily cautious allowing you to beat them piecemeal.
  3. The AI is good I played as Union and get thrashed by the Confederates in just 3 phases. Also I'm not a total noob I've won 1 game as Confederates and 1 as Union both on Cunning/Determined.
  4. This isn't entirely cosmetic but the arrow drawing should be fixed up a bit. Right now when trying to do flanking maneuvers my arrows get all squiggly and ugly because I'm not a god at drawing perfect parabolas. I suggest that the arrow drawing at least have an option to just be straight lines or parabolas, instead of this free form squiggly line stuff. I don't see a point to drawing squiggly arrows really, parabolas and straight lines do everything you need in regards to troop movement.
  5. That is an extremely good idea man, I don't know nuffin' about the Battle of Gettysburg (except that Benny Hill is impossible to take) so a preview of the map you get at the start of a phase would be helpful in choosing.
  6. It would be cool if the units would line up along stone walls if positioned by them.
  7. A very good suggestion (I didn't even know there were hotkeys so....). I hope the developers keep focus on the Civil War because there really is a dearth of games covering this very interesting period of history. For Napoleonic Wars there are many games out for it, but one can't really name any (popular at least) games for the American Civil War since that old Sid Meier's game (which I played when I was like 5 years old btw).
  8. I don't want to play anything like total war. If there's a campaign, it should put you in the shoes of a general leading an army with the conditions he is given, not managing an entire country.
  9. Right now when units get on the very edge of the map the little flag icon above them disappears, it would be good if that didn't happen because sometimes I forgot the 'lost' units who were on the edge.
  10. No need for "ironman" mode or anything, this isn't a competitive ranked game or anything. I want to be able to go back into the different phases of the battle and replay them, and also be able to choose different things during the planning stage. As Confederates after encircling the Feds in phase 2 of the battle, I had the choice between pressing the attack or waiting for reinforcements. I chose to wait for reinforcements and won a defensive battle against the Union troops and got an Epic Victory. It'd be cool to go back and see how I would do if I had chosen to attack immediately instead of waiting, since replaying the whole game would lead to a different result obviously.
