I'm still trying to find out more detail about the plan. The date 1811 is clearly marked, as is a name toward the bottom of the upper right corner paragraph: Lord Berkeley. There's not much I can dig up on any Lord Berkeley that existed during the supposed date on the plan. Of those with the title that existed, only one I can discover that served in the Royal Navy before and after the date, and he became a Sea Lord years later.
I'm afraid it's not much to go on right now, but there's clues to be explored.
Edit: I am mistaken, further research has revealed the service of a Sir George Cranfield Berkeley in the Royal Navy during this period, who happened to be stationed in Portugal during the years preceding the date marked on the plan up until the following year. Wikipedia notes this:Berkeley continued building his political status during the Peace of Amiens and by Berkeley had been appointed inspector of sea fencibles, a job he undertook with vigour, conducting a fourteen-month survey of Britain's coastal defences, which greatly improved the island's defences. In 1806, after a shift in political power, Berkeley fell out of favour somewhat and was dispatched to the North American Station. From there, Berkeley ordered the attack by HMS Leopard on the American frigate USS Chesapeake in retaliation for American recruitment of British deserters. This action, known as the Chesapeake-Leopard Affair, helped precipitate the War of 1812.[2]
Having embarrassed the British government with this action, Berkeley was recalled home. However, public opinion supported his orders, so Berkeley was moved to command in Lisbon in the hope he could organise the chaotic supply system for Wellington's army in the Peninsula War.[2] Berkeley recognised that only a dedicated and organised convoy system could keep the supply of men, food and material regular and consequently set one up. Simultaneously, he reequipped and galvanised the remnants of the Spanish Navy, rescuing several ships from capture by the French as well as used frigates to supply partisan units all along the coast of Portugal and Northern Spain.[2]
By 1810, Wellington could truthfully say of Berkeley that "His activity is unbounded, the whole range of the business of the Country in which he is stationed, civil, military, political, commercial, even ecclesiastical I believe as well as naval are objects of his attention". He was promoted to full admiral and made Lord High Admiral of the Portuguese Navy by the Portuguese Regent in Brazil.[2] By 1810 he had used sailors to man coastal defences all over Spain, freeing soldiers for Wellington and also formed a squadron of river gunboats to harry French units from major rivers like the Tagus.
I cannot say for certain whether it is this man who is mentioned on the plan, but his presence in Portugal and his work on the Iberian Peninsula could only promote my opinion that this is the "Berkeley" mentioned on the plan for this unknown Portuguese warship.
Further evidence (and close to home for me, I may have a look sometime if I can): https://legacy.lib.utexas.edu/taro/ricewrc/00005/rice-00005.htmlCould it be his ship? Interesting read.

Chappelle's book is a great source for information on US vessels. Likely to be more than 15 USD though.
Got one for $19 from Amazon, Great Condition. Great book indeed.

"The majority of the Smithsonian watercraft plans are NOT original builder's plans. Most are the result of field documentation [...] the Smithsonian cannot warrant the seaworthiness or safety of vessels built from its collection of study plans. " XD XD XD XD
Are you going to build USS Essex replica and try to sail it or something? This is US and it's a normal procedure to avoid Court Cases filed by dumb people.
These plans are perfect for games and ship models.

I would love to see a 3rd rate US ship, but nice little brig there.
I am about to acquire a book with some plans that I will post soon. Thing is America looks like French Buc already in the game, I personally would add a 90 2nd rate USS Franklin.
The only 2 candidates would be;
USS America
USS Franklin

Principe Real is listed at roughly 200' in length
Principe do Brazil is listed at roughly 187' in length (per this site: http://3decks.pbworks.com/w/page/915356/HMFMS Principe do Brasil, though here she is listed as a 74 and not an 80+ gunner, perhaps she was rebuilt?). She is also listed at roughly 191' in length (per this site: http://marinhadeguerraportuguesa.blogspot.com/2013/04/navios-da-real-marinha-de-guerra.html, which also mentions her as being an 80 gunner from the year 1802 til 1822).
Vasco da Gama is listed at 179' in length (per this site: http://3decks.pbworks.com/w/page/915367/HMFMS Vasco da Gama (1793))
She's not the Medusa, as the Medusa is mentioned as a 74 with the potential to carry 80, but her length is a good 10' less than the lower number of 182'.However
Queen of Portugal is a 74 with the potential to carry 80, and her length is roughly 187' (http://marinhadeguerraportuguesa.blogspot.com/2013/04/navios-da-real-marinha-de-guerra.html).Any other info would be welcome.
Great info, Thanks.

USS Lexington, 16 Gun Brig of War
The Lexington belonged to a small fleet of merchant ships, which were hastily converted into war ships in Philadelphia in 1775/77 during the war against England. Under captain John Barry’s command, the Lexington was successfully engaged in battle on April 7th, 1776 against the corvette Edward. During the same year, the Lexington was captured by the British frigate Pearl. The crew re-captured the boat again in a daring action and returned it to Baltimore. During the following year, the Lexington sailed to France and, together with other ships, took part in various battles in the Bay of Biscay, the English Channel, and off the Irish coast. A number of English ships were captured. On September 20th, 1777, on its return trip from France, the Lexington was captured by the English cutter Alert. After a fight of more than three hours the Lexington ran out of ammunition and had to surrender. Thus, at least the lives of the crew, already decimated by enemy fire, were saved.
Another great addition to NA fleet family. One fierce little boat.

Id say it is a third rate from late XVIII century.
88 guns, 4 decks(rows of guns) + 2 more in stern. That is more like a 2nd rate to me.

Name - No Name , Rate - 3rd/2nd , Date - 1811 , Country - Portugal , Guns - Up to 90

I bought this DLC (mainly to support the development) but also dont want NA turn into a paytowin.
They need to add same style paints to regular ships as Free content along with payed ships. ex. xebec gold outlines and colors.

Someone already asked this a while ago with no luck.

Nvidia drivers suck, they crashed my Warships game after the update. Revert back to old drivers if you can.

I wouldn't count a 10v1 gank a successful battle. Unless you somehow manage to sink the 10 aggressors.
only one gets the kill, so it doesn't matter. 10vs1 would only give away 1 pvp kill point and 1 successful point to only 1 out of 9 who participated. 9/10 come out empty handed in case of the gank. Fire proof.

I understand the intention but people will just gank for the pvp medal to get easy 50 battles and do empty/vs alts/diplo pbs in order to get the pb medal.
and? content is content, use it as you wish. More hours spent ganking, more reasons to press launch NA>

Master and Commander Book reads...with the silver medal of the Nile...
Dear Devs, @admin
please consider adding content in a form of medals. It's a very simple yet powerful content. Achievements that would reward players with items that can be shown to everyone else in their player info window. Active players would be proud to show their medals, earned during actions on the high seas or land. You earn points and then bring them to the Admiralty to get your medals.
Example
Suggested awards:
PB (your team wins, must be alive - 1 point)
-10 Points - Successful Port battles - Bronse medal
-50 Points - Successful Port battles - Silver medal
-100 Points - Successful Port battles - Gold medal
PVP Battle (you make at least 1 kill, win the battle and stay alive - 1 point)
-10 Points - Successful pvp battles - Bronse medal
-50 Points - Successful pvp battles - Silver medal
-100 Points - Successful pvp battles - Gold medal
PVP Kills (you make at least 1 pvp kill - 1 point)
-10 Points - kills - Bronse medal
-50 Points - kills - Silver medal
-100 Points - kills - Gold medal
and so on..
pvp battle (medal)
One successful battle = at least 1 pvp kill per battle and you or your group remain alive on exit wit hall enemies eliminated or escaped. Your group members must have at least 1 kill to earn 'successful battle' point. ex. if you and your friend each have 1 kill, your group of 6 will get only 2 pvp points (you and your friend). You must win the fight, make 1 kill and exit alive to get successful pvp battle point. Those who did not make any kills can try next battle. If members of the group sink, it will not effect you getting one SB point as long as your team is victorious.
pvp kills (medal)
earn points by killing players (earn points towards your medal even if you sink after you made the kill).
port battle (medal)
Your team must win a Port Battle and you must be alive.
*To get both pvp battle and pvp kill points that can later be exchanged for medals you must - Kill at least one enemy and win the fight. If you only kill the enemy you get only pvp kill point, but not successful battle.
We need something that promotes Active players and makes others achieve the same.

"I started this project mainly to look at the various weapons we have in NA, and what we could potentially add to the mix to make a slightly more diverse game, with more load out options and more opportunities for sailing the ship set up you want to sail"
"Finally I'd like to talk about how this could change the game itself, I'd personally like to see more choice available"
There you go.
What is wrong with ideas that could be picked up by Devs? These posts are gold for any game developer who goes through these forums. You would be surprised to hear that ubi devs were camping these forums for the longest time....
