  1. 5th rates - 15,5 kn 4th rates - 14,5 kn 3rd rates - 13,5 kn 2nd rates - 12,5 kn 1st rates - 11,5 kn With the new port bonuses, I can already see the Fir/Fir L'Oceans doing 13 knots on Elite Spanish. Plese don't.

    cant join the game

There are some new 8k textures to load or what? Stuck as well...
  3. Well, I'd remove the frontlines completely. What if I dont want to attack my neighbours? Neighbour doesn't neccesarily mean Enemy. I think that locking all counties on "attack the Capital first" is already lock big enough, to allow free conquest on the map, with just this implementation only.

    Ponce PB crashed

Yeah. And tomorrow, Russians will be able to take hostility missions to 15 different ports, while those whose PB's were bugged will have to replay the PB? I don't want rescheduling the PB. I want all the crashed PB's beeing marked in the system as won by attackers.

    Ponce PB crashed

In the middle of the Port Battle, all of us lost a control of the ship. The animations were still going, game looked as expected, just not responding to any turning, shooting etc. Few seconds later we got a popup saying "Server disconnected" and we'll be forced to login screen after 60 seconds. After that, we spawned in the OW, with Battle Report, and no PB outcome.
  6. Updated my calculator for current method... During updates, also realised that the blueprints changed - with 1st rates requiring much more materials (both regular and for frame). Only planking remained at same level. 64.000 Doubloons for a single LO/WO... 49.000 for T/WO...
  7. That's true. We should wipe out all the doubloons to actually check out the new system
  8. @admin When will be the full wipe? I'd love to see how much time it will take to get f.e. 20 clans reaching 1 million doubloons if they'll have to craft every ship again. The general statistic is too misleading here. 50% of real world wealth is in the hands of 1% of people. The all dollars in the world might look impressive, but we don't see Ferrari at every second garage. I doubt Naval Action is different here. And to make RvR fun, we need there as much people as possible. Not just small elite percantage Also, maybe the little switch to make a 3rd rate a better (br effective) ship than 1st rate would be a good bypass of this problem?
  9. You clearly have no idea what are You talking about. I thought dozens of battles with budget 1st rates and I can tell You this: If You're taking out a budget ship out for a Port Battle You can actually not bother anyway, and leave the battle empty. The difference between luxury woods and common ones is so big, that it's pretty much waste of time. Every screening with budget 1st rates was pretty much guaranteed we are not coming back. Don't even want to think how would it look like in a Port Battle.
  10. Same here. All I lost meantime were the ships from before the reform. And when I wanted to rebuild some, it appeared they'll be soon gone by wipe so I'll stay with the one I currently have. Well, that may be bit misleading as most people had plenty of ships when doubloons happened, so it was easier to stockpile them. What I'd rather look at is, how many hours would it take to grind 50.000 Doubloons using various activities (ai rng loot, missions, group missions) All those changes looks great (especially the fact that alts are useless now) but don't hide it behind the grind wall. I know there are new ways of getting doubloons, but if I need to sail 10h for pax missions, or repeat 20 times the group mission, that's not gonna be fun...
  11. It's a good reason, but it would require too much. RvR was already a bit "elite". Now You want people who never cared about it, grind about twice as much to get involved? You're kidding me. Even if You manage to get 4000 Doubloons per hour by beeing very lucky with RNG (which is also a problem) it would require You to 10 hours grind for a single ship. Now find 15 people like this. And now imagine You lost the port battle and You have to do it once again. You sure all 15 will care to grind again? Don't get me wrong. I like the idea of changes. But side effects caused by the values are bit too tough and too expensive. And ports no longer will generate reals on the woods so why would You care to upkeek the cost of the timer? As I said earlier - it will be much cheaper and much easier to just strike a deal with the owner rather than fight for the port.
  12. @admin Any chance of adjusting the prices? What are Your thoughts on that topic? I'd really like to avoid 10h grind for a ship which I risk permanently loosing in a single port battle... Equipped, and refitted top line T/WO L'Ocean will cost about 50.000 Doubloons now... That's kind crazy...
  13. @Hethwill Admin just admitted that it won't be the case anymore.
  14. Unfortunately every mission rewards are to be split. So if every one gets 1k, it would require Your group to repeat it 30 times for a single first rate to every participant. Isn't that a bit too much for a ship You could loose in single port battle...
  15. Look at the "cost" of getting the port. Imagine a 5000 BR port That would require group of 10 people, doing 2 hostility missions. Each of them repairs once during the battle, - thats 2 battles x 10 ships x 80 hull repairs = 1600 hull repairs. 1600 hull repairs = 160,000 Reals which is about 6400 Doubloons with current 1/25 ratio Then, we have a Port battle, where we use another 160,000 Reals for repairs. That's already 13.000 Doubloons. Let's imagine You loose (just) one first rate in the process. Thats another 25.000 Doubloons for ship only with new model of aquisition of exotic wood (not counting the refits!) So basically, even at best scenario, it cost You 40.000 Doubloons to get the port. Plus You need to waste time on stupid hostility mission. And even if You take the port You no longer can earn on it, cause there is no longer contract drop system. So instead, how about You offer 20.000 doubloons extra to the owner for getting the wood for You? You give them 100,000 Doubloons, they keep 25k, extract 5000 Live Oak and Ship it to You. You saved time, You save doubloons from the process of getting the port, everyone is happy. That's the incentive for RvR?
  16. You think so? Just pay the smaller clan some extra doubloons, and they will simply ship it to You by trade. With pool of 1 million wood, they're not gonna use it by themselves in about few years. So with increased prices of the ship, I'm pretty sure RvR will not "flourish". There will be much easier, cheper and less expensive ways of "dealing" with the clan who owns the port.
  17. That's a good sign! The prices should be different. Can You name the wood with the price? I also wonder on the side effect of port upkeeps with this changes. Many ports were upkeeping all the clan by simply beeing a port where everyone was overbidding for rare woods. If now there are no markets, but just "pay doubloons and get it" overall income from ports will drop by a big amount.
  18. @AeRoTR You really think a clan which will loose not only port, but with Your proposed changes also their warehouses (therefore also a ship production capabilities) will continue playing? We'll have less and less players with every lost PB. The NA is hardcore already, don't make it even more hardcore, cause noone will play it anymore. And whoever tried sailing "cheaper" 1st rates against expensive ones knows that's quite pointless. I did it many times when sailed under Polish flag, as we couldn't afford top ships for screening actions around Caribbean. The new idea seems ok - but needs a DEEP reconsideration of prices
  19. Hi there! I'd strongly suggest to reconsider using Doubloons for ordering Live Oak, Copper Ingots etc. if the port spawns the goods. Why? Quite a few reasons: First of all, let's look at the dramatic price increase of Ships of The Line with exotic wood beeing paid by Doubloons. With old system, where Doubloons use was quite limited, the price stabilised on +-25 Reals. Now, with Doubloons beeing much more important it's guaranteed that the price will rise quite a lot. But even if not, let's look how does that effect the cost of L'Ocean. 1) Old System Many people, were able to buy the Teak and White Oak for not more than triple digit amount. From time to time, You could even get both of the woods for 50 Reals per piece. Sometimes even cheaper. With proper economy management You could as a clan reach a stable price on that levels. With wood priced that way, L'Ocean T/WO would cost about 500,000 Reals if we stick to 25/1 Doubloon price on the market. 2) New System With 5000 wood beeing priced at 50.000 Doubloons, the price for L'Ocean rises up incredibly. With 1 unit of wood hard coded price will be 10 Doubloons, the overall cost of wood multiplies 500% just in INITIAL PRODUCTION. And that's only if the market will stay at 25 Reals per Doubloon exchange rate. However, let's remember that with great increase of importance of Doubloons, the price will raise a lot. I'll be happy if it stablizes at 2x, with 50 Reals per Doubloon, but that might not be the case. With exotic wood beeing priced at 250 Reals per unit (10 Doubloons x 25 reals) the price of the ship would rise 1,200,000 Reals - that's already 240% With unavoidable increse of Doubloons price (with many people not selling the Doubloons at all anyway now) the general increase to 50 Real per Doubloon that will be already 2,000,000 Reals With market setting up at 100 Reals per Doubloon, that will be 4,000,000 Reals And we are talking PRODUCTION price here. F.e. clan building etc. Just imagine how the prices will look on the open market, if crafters will decide to earn something on that as well. The price for delivery contract needs to be adjusted, otherwise we'll kill the RvR again, as the cost of taking the port would be ten times bigger than positive income. Side note 1: There is also a big need for adjusting the mission price depending on the wood. If the mission cost will look the same for all woods, most likely only Live Oak, White Oak and Teak will be extracted. Caguarian and Sabicu had their place in the game only because they were cheaper alternatives. With no difference here, everyone will go for LO or WO - no point going for Caguarian if it's no longer cheap option. Side note 2: Maybe use Reals for Deliver Missions? With tax of the mission beeing applied, so the spike on the port income could indicate where did the wood dropped, so players would have some indication where to look for next targets in RvR?
  20. Any chance for some capital zone for them? Just a single port. I think it was pointed out few times already, that Poles actually had a small settle in Caribbean If we all go to wiped exp, not really a cool idea that everyone will sail to hunt Polish new players because they won't be actually protected by capital zone.
  21. Believe it or not - but no. If someone was sailing a frigate, and after tagging I realised thats a new player, I was letting them go. Unless I was 100% sure it was an alt. But no, imagine I never even cared to sail to reinforce zone to snipe noobs. That's not what I want from this game.
  22. If tutorial rewards stay, it's just a Final Exam, and You're at 280 crew already.
  23. @admin First, I'd like to express my support for that idea! Can't be more than happy to see, that You realised that what we need most is a proper kick on the launch day, and a full wipe is the way to go! It takes some balls to change Your mind like this! Hats off! On the other hand, I feel sorry for some people who did some rants over here. People like @John Sheppard - I'm truly sorry for Your life. If You and Your friends had just a thought of intentionally spoiling the fun for new people, gank them and troll them, that tells a lot about Your sorry life. Based on what? The argument that You have a right for that because You bought the game? Guess what - the new people will buy this game too. So You know what? After seeing what You posted, I actually wish You quit the game. Find Your purpose in living, and actually enjoy Your life. @Lars Kjaer - honorable mention required as well of course. Not only due to personal history, but also for publicly admitting, that You have no idea what You're talking about. Next time, before making fool of Yourself on the forum, check out what's going on in the game. And if You still think that veteran in 6th rate will be able to kill 3rd Rate, I'd suggest You go and take a closer look on what's going to change quite quickly, cause You might find Yourself in a different world sooner rather than later. Hint - testbed. Well, and for everyone else crying about the wipes. Well, if You're that egocentric about Yourself, the game probably doesn't need You anyway, so feel free to quit. Some refreshing, and a lot of fresh blood will do nothing but good to the game! And a full wipe is a great step forward getting hundreds of new players after release. Well done! PS: @Neads O'Tune - yeah, lol. Get some PvP kills 😂
  24. Actually, for proper testing, we should have unlimited access to ships, mods, cannons, book, anything. They are important factors as well.
