  1. Hi everybody,

I've noticed, that people on the help chat almost ask the same questions like "How do i put cannons on my ship" "What is double shot and double charge" "What are combat marks for" "How do i capture ports" etc. In the tutorial the game teaches you the basic gameplay, but imo there should be something, which teaches you the other basics like putting cannons on your ship. My suggestion now is to add a "Help" or "Guide" button to the ESC menu.

In this menu the player should be able to read about basic stuff of the game and maybe show it, when the player is playing for the very first time.

In the help section the player should see pictures which explains them the basics (epic photoshop i know :D )

Or explain what you can to on all the single tabs.

Not only this, there could also be some tips for combat ( @rediii has a nice sheet for that)

The purpose of this is to make it easier for new players to get into this game, without asking every single detail on help chat.

And make it also available in open world, so you can read through it while you're on a long sail.

I know devs are busy with something else atm and i know a few things will change with the new UI, but i think new player experience should be something to consider.

what good work? Only thing I do is goof up xD

It is interesting to see again, how we all started and build up in NA. And with good work we mean your streams and the way you entertain us all. Everytime you stream most of the NA players are on your twitch chat and having fun :D

  4. I was on both sides.

When i was the attacker i just chained the buffed ship once and he had to tack through the wind to turn into me, so basically the ship was too far away, because the ship i attack ran away in the complete other direction. I was able to the ship. More Players joined for reinforcements tho' but one guy joined my side as well, he outplayed the AI and we sank another player together and managed to escaped. So if you smartly outplay the reinforcement ship and the ship, which was attacked runs in another direction, the reinforcement is useless, but....

I was also the one who got tagged in safe zone. The enemy player chained the reinforcement ship with his first broadside, but i stayed together with the ship instead of running, because i knew it is a buffed ship. The reinforcement ship just kept hull smashing the enemy and i chained him, so the enemy was forced to sail repair and escape.

To sum up, it is easy to outplay the reinforcement ships and get to the player as the attacker, if you do it smart, but on the other hand it is also possible get your opponent into real trouble if you actually work together with the buffed ship.

I think it's ok though and not that overkill as 2 first rates.

I wouldn't burden devs with things like this.

That's like a feature you can add when there is absolutely nothing more to be added to the game.

We dont say "ADD IT RIGHT NOW" ;)

Thats why the suggestions site is here, to make suggestions
