  1. Ok, but game doesn't value new players. So, whats the point here? I can compare it to Superglue you touch it, you feel it and you can't get your money back if you hold for too long. Question is can you enjoy NA in 2 hours especially in a basic cutter? You know the answer here. Put yourself in newbie shoes.
  2. They are, you can play a decently built game for years ignoring other games thus saving 100$s of dollars in your pocket. Why? because you found a game that you always wanted and if you are going to spend years in it you made the right investment.
  3. Once again, you tube is not game related and not a single game developer should send their customers to watch some videos created by fans. That is just low as it can be. Professionals create ingame short training missions that take care of this problem.
  4. You can't teach them through chat and no one will. What you do is you create an animated simple to understand 10 minute training mission with small starting pack rewards, then you let them loose and watch them thrive. -Learn to Understand ship specs -Learn to Mount Guns -Learn to Install Mods -Learn to build outpost and structures -Learn to gather materials and sell them -Understand simple market etc.. pack all this in 10 minute mission and we got auto trainer going that will be recruiting more players than ever before.
  5. Do you know what full value is? It is when you reach lvl 100 and ask to add more levels so you can beat those. You beat extra 100 lvls and reset to 0 and start over. You play every night and remain top 5 in every game and return to compete more. This is money well invested. Now saying that money that were put into NA is well invested is questionable. Just to get a casual player into action will take weeks before he leaves his home waters and tries to pvp on his own. Half of them will never make it. Why not? Lack of information and ingame tutorials, long travel time, cost vs risk, repetitive boring outdated content. We have no tools to let players explore the world in quick and reasonable matter once again benefiting to slicing the rope we are hanging on. In the end, players reached max lvl, tested every possible ship and got bored waiting for content that would make them come back and play more. For example dailys, rewards for actions, random rewards found while traveling, random missions, events (storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, lightnings heavy rain and wind), aggressive privateers and cutthoats NPCs, open world items found on defeated NPCs, customization of player favorite ship, recognition of long hours spent in game. I mean come on, I can go on and on all day long, but will it ever make it in the game? This is what will keep players returning for more and then pvp, port battle and glory. Right now NA is one way road with dead end and we need to make that dead end loop back in circle of fun and entertainment.
  6. I always wondered if open global shop would help solve problems with lack of product quantities in ports. If people could see sale history and able to check product availability from any port in the world then these people would do heavy trade runs over and over again. So, it seems problem that is causing deficit of supplies is caused by closed market and lack of information. By closed markets I mean they only available if you are in that port. If players don't know what port needs or what's in port warehouse economy will never function properly and word Trader will be as rare as 1st rates in this game.
  7. He payed for NA way before NA Legends was introduced. He did not ask for Legends. So, have respect for all opinions please. For example I don't give rats about Legends and never will, my main focus is NA. If I would ever pay real money it would only be in NA and not Legends.
  8. Naval Action Legends is not what he payed for, please understand him as well. This game needs more casual player friendly content asap. Legends is more like a tool to send one kind of people one way and the rest another way while saying it's free. In my opinion Legends will hurt NA even more than ever before.
  9. No need you will be chasing imaginary ones soon enough.))
  10. Let me explain how. A story of a happy house. Builders started building their house with a big hole in the ground. This hole was meant for a solid concrete foundation, but builders decided to work on the roof first. They built the roof and it looked incredible. Builders forgot about all other plans and requirements and proceeded building house walls in the hole where foundation was supposed to be. Over time earth around walls became strong and thick due to brick weight and everything seemed to settle down. Windows were installed, doors and even grass was planted around the house. Builders were happy with their work. House stood strong for a long time, weather was dry and finally rain came down. It rained hard for days and soon there was sun shining again. Unfortunately house walls cracked and slid even deeper underground because there was no foundation ever built. Grass, windows and doors were all damaged and useless now. So, builders called in experts to take a look if this house can be saved. Fortunately for them there was only one way to fix it. They would secure and lift the whole structure by a crane, build a firm concrete base and put everything back where it belongs. Builders knew it was a risky process, but they had no other option and decided to do it the right way once and for all. House stood strong ever since and all who walked by wanted to come in and take a look inside. Happy End. In this story concrete foundation are casual players and pve content.
  11. You have to understand that it's better to have money and go out pvp without fear of going bankrupt from loosing ship. People will sit on millions sooner or later. Ships will be sinking, demand will be there. As long as we get people back on OS it's only a win win situation. Look where we are with all these crazy prices. 1st-2nd rates should be very difficult to acquire and should take long time I agree, but not 3rd rates and everything under...
  12. The only way to save this game is to introduce a lot of pve stuff and fix long remaining problems. -Reduce OS travel time -Add world spawn points, so people can enjoy all parts of the world once per hour. -Add achivements -Add OS random missions, debris, survivors. -Add Treasure chests and keys, varieties of loot similar to potbs -Rewards system for dailies, weekly, monthly actions -Rank progress board with rewards and free ships. Many great ideas that can save this game, but no one does anything with them. I understand they will try to market this game again, but it will only be temporary boost that will vanish again very quickly and with new upcoming Patch it will be another project in the garbage bin. Why? If we do not have population everything becomes obsolete and will not function as it should or was designed to function. I really hope they have big plans for PvE.
  13. All it needs is PvE content, faster world travel, more NPCs and loot. Many great suggestions being ignored for some reason. Also, some great reviews on Steam that provide useful information on what needs work. I believe this patch is once again 10% PvE 90% RvR/PvP oriented. Naval Action can't accept casual players in this state.
  14. In this game you must reward players. This is a massive world and requires tons of time to be invested here. All this must be equally covered by returning rewards such as , log in rewards, (small) rewards when killed in action, daily assignments rewards, daily pvp kills, daily npc kills etc.. This is the simplest possible form of how developers keep players in their pockets.
  15. With what we have now (latest patch) there will be no increase in pvp. Next patch? maybe a little for a while, but not long term. I am trying to eliminate fear of sailing and fighting with little help from NPCs. Once player feels 'adrenaline' which is the main ingredient in my proposal, they won't be able to resist it and will try pvp again. Unfortunately, there will be other factors that will try to stop players from pvp. They are: long travel time, cost and lack of information. I did my research well. Many players value their belongings and once they are sunk in unfair/uneven fight all their work feels a waste of time. In other words that is a well known dead end. So, to counter this and keep gankers alive and prey on OS we simply need to introduce a natural drug called 'adrenaline'. Giving player opportunity to defend himself will create that drug in both attackers and the victim. Victim might end up sunk, but he should get a reward for fighting and participating in the bloody fight. It always feels good when you sink at least 1 noob ganker. We will have these cases trust me. This creates an interesting world out there and promotes healthy pvp. So, convert ganking into a tool that will forge pvp on the whole new level. Allow prey to fight back with little help from his own hard work (fleets/pvp Fame XP).
  16. I am proposing 'don't run and fight us' game. It's designed to eliminate cases where players just abandon ships and pvp players are left with no action and it provides increase in pvp interest. If player able to sink at least 1 attacker with NPC help, he will be no doubt interested in returning to pvp even on his own.
  17. In addition, they just moved to Unity 5. This will allow them to add as many ships as they want. I would just add custom paintwork and figureheads and call it a day.
  18. Why are you here then writing this? This topic is about ganking solutions. Your 2 vs 2 pvp will be fine. Sometimes try to read the topic first as it clearly says only when ganked with uneven numbers.
  19. Come on, he must understand with 150 pvp players online you can't say play on PvE server. We need every available soul.
  20. Removing ships is just silly, like I said it before add it to PvE content and change their names, add new figureheads and paint. Someone wasted months on those projects and you will allow them to be scrapped? Wow.
  21. So, you agreed you just want to Seal Club 2 vs 1 all day long until this game is dead? Sure thing. Let it happen. I would rather sail with a friend gank a player and let him draw a sword, call in NPCs and have a great fun fight. Instead you want to just watch him abandon his ship and leave the game. Sorry to say, but you must be one of those players who were opposing all great ideas on these forums that would make this game a hit, instead...
  22. Provide more info on why not? I can say you can't even pvp period, but how can I support it? 1) screenshots 2) useless talk Instead of helping with ideas you act like a little child.
  23. PvE content will. I think this game is overall complete, the last step is focus on PvE! and all will go well. People are bored and tired.
