  1. Good Fight to WTF and Koder. Koder is really nasty in that Buc. Best part is we sent Koder a message to gather a fleet and come fight us, all he said was "Ok" And cane back 5 minutes later with the rest. That was awesome. We engaged in a battle outside MT, DPL was in a Fir Renomeee, Fir Bellona, Fir Victory and Teak/Teak Agamemnon. Battle lasted almost the whole two hours, however we were able to prevail, though not without losses. Tigertex was able to hop off his sinking renomee onto a prince, which was sank by a L'Ocean, and Draconis was able to do the same with the santisma, when his Agamemnon was about to sink. After a long duel, I finally captured and sank Koder's Bucentuare... that ship was very impressive, I had a devil of a time getting behind him and paid heavily. I used over 70 hull repairs and half my sail repairs that fight! Our opponents fought very hard and were well coordinated. Many props for them organizing a fleet to oppose us at such a late hour. This is the kind of fight that keeps me coming back to NA!
  2. If you can't get anything good for pvp marks you may as well not have them. Paint is garbage and I could care less about it. I don't give two craps what my ship looks like, just what it can do.
  3. You should have had me build it for you... I can build one for a mil or less lol. i honestly don't believe it's any cheaper now per durability than it was before. I've crafted under both systems, they increased the prices of some resources to compensate for making others cheaper. And when they reduced requirements they didn't divide by the number of former durability, they basically just halved the component requirements. So as best as I can make out, it seems like it costs more per durability now than it did before. And deploying ships forward takes much longer cause you gotta deploy each durability. Every minute you spend doing that is a minute you are not having fun pvping.
  4. They aren't any cheaper, people actually charge more per durability on the bigger ones especially. You don't buy ships off the market anyhow lol. When is the last time you used the ships tab to buy a ship? Or any of us? I haven't bought a ship on the ship tab in well over a year. I do look at the prices tho.
  5. When I was a national, if a trader asked for an escort, he got it. I saw a trader ask for an escort 3 times in 2 years or so. Most of them just sail out blithley oblivious and get themselves killed.
  6. We need to decrease the protection zones if anything. There is too much new player protection. In fact I think that protection zones should only work for master and commander and lower, any rank post captain and above should take their chances .
  7. Ignore other people? Where have you been mate, the people hiding in green zones are usually rear admirals in their fancy ships, not noobs. There are very few noobs in this game and people like me usually give them a pass. I gladly engage other hunters like myself, usually it's the only action I get due to the carebears hiding in the green zone. If no one comes out to fight, I'll gladly take advantage of someone's mistake to get some action. The damned safe zones are way to big and encourage people to never leave them. They need shrunk to just a small area around the capital. All missions should take place outside them, and no ports nearby should have safe zones. Right now, someone could remain in the safe zone and never leave the entire time they play the game. I know one guy in the pirate nation who has never left the safe zone and he's a curse now. It's pathetic.
  8. And that's the crux of this whole post... game mechanics make it difficult to pvp due to pointless time sinks... fyi the Connie I was in could easily have avoided that fight. it does 15.3 in battle with repairs. I wanted the fight, so allowed the engagement. I'll usually fight any fight that's available. I only withdraw after exhausting all options at winning a fight, or if the numbers are too great... more than 3 to one odds etc.
  9. I sank (no boarding) a teak wo wasa with Cartagena with a fir teak Connie three nights ago. I know the build because he complained after that he lost a Cartagena he paid 2 mil for. I beg to differ on whether Fir connies are made to fight. 5 nights ago I fought a bellona with that same Connie but ran out of time he was at 30 percent structure when the timer ran out. But that explains why we never run into each other. I used to do the same things as you when I led DPL as a Brit. Aloha has been very relaxing 😎
  10. Yeah it was fun, I enjoyed it and hope they did. Vernon was great to work with
  11. Legends is a grind fest. Many pvpers have no interest in it, myself included
  12. I was there for a fight but I'm not an idiot. We've already established you aren't hardcore at all lol. When you have a bunch of ship coming at you, you defensive tag to keep them from all coming at you at once. I shouldn't have to teach pvp 101 here. My and my partners skill level vs their firepower and numbers. It was a fair fight in my book. Doesn't change the fact they weren't willing to commit to a fight they could have won if they played it a little more aggressively. Maybe they didn't want to lose mods... dunno.
  13. I didn't go after them when they withdrew. I could have easily re tagged. I'm not going to lose a fight if I don't have to. I fight with the same ability vs anyone. They had enough so I let them go. Hopefully they learned something from the encounter and had as much fun as I did.
  14. I like ow in battle zones. But the experience is not even remotely fun between hot spots. Legends is not even worth talking about. It's a grind fest
  15. They came for me, I just made sure the battle was fought on my terms. I know you know what a defensive tag is
  16. Defensive tag. Mine got there first. Good pvpers don't let the enemy set the battle lol. It's the first time brits have been aggressive in ages, I don't want to discourage that.
  17. You only get one shock per 5 min or something. I took down all three of the surprises masts in 3 shots only got 1 shock
  18. I was full health and crew and used sail repair. Fantasy has more time in game than you or me so he's no noob. The other guy is part of the brits elite pvp clan. And they attacked me they left after I dismasted the surprise and started killing fleet ships to get at them. My Connie was fir Bermuda, had they closed without the fleet ships it would have been a tougher fight for me. The point of the post is just to show I'm out there. Where are yours? I screenshot everything lol
  19. 1 tow? So I should be limited to replacing 1 ship every 24 hours? And sending it without repairs too... god you Funny as hell. When I had multiple durability, I had to do that trip only once per two to 5 ship losses, not every f*cking one so some idiot could stroke his crafting epeen. Sailing on the ow is not fun or engaging if you aren't in a battle area. It's a needless chore that's exacerbated by the 1 durability system. Give me tows that allow repairs to Be transported and 1 per hour or something like that and I'll shut up about 1 durability. Until then, I'm going to continue to campaign for multiple durability to return.
  20. 2 and a half hours. God learn to read. Teleporting doesn't allow you to send repairs... you lose those too when you sink, so you need to sail the new ship to its hole port. And what if you lose two ships, 3? More?
  21. This was just last night. I've got 100 more where that comes from. I never see you either, so we are not alone in that. I'm assuming it's mainly because of the regions we fight in. I don't go to swede country much because I've never gotten a fight when I cruise through there. Usually get a fight from the french or brits if I force it on them lol.
  22. I have never said ships are expensive to replace. If you actually read before spouting off this thread has nothing to do with cost. This thread is all about the needless time wasting that occurs when one loses a ship. I recently lost a bellona. It took me 20 minutes to craft another and get it ready to sail and another 2 hours to get it to the combat area. This is the problem with single durability.
  23. Except with these mods they aren't taking much of a risk vs your unmodded ship. I fight 2 to 5 on 1 regularly. I'll shoot in, kill one that gets split off and walk away before they can overwhelm me. I've got a ship with 221 battles on it. Others with over 100.
  24. 7 people sank last night in 5 hours. I killed one of them. There were about 150 online. That is pathetic
