@qw569😳 used to provide a hot zone map , where all the action happened the previous day. I am guessing a lot of the info you are after is in the api
But if it is, why cannot it be used to keep a watch on the obvious alt farmers

The last time I levelled my crafting, I concentrated on trader lynx and when Indiamen became available, I made loads of those and it didnt seem to take very long to get through the levels

numbers are extremely steady and have been for a while. If you think in game drama is keeping people away... think again

as the other have mentioned plus a reminder. If you are fighting a lower level ship the opposite amount of xp. Example you are in a 5th fighting a 6th. The lower level player ( your opponent) will get more and you will get less. PVP as opposed to PVE should grant more IIRC
Get yourself into a clan , preferably of similar time zone players whose company you enjoy and who like similar play styles etc .. more fun, more xp etc

server problem would be ..everybody gets disconnected, 5 people or so would IMHO a probable internet / hardware problem on your end.
I haven't had any server problem since the roll back as far as I can recall ? Not sure it's an issue on game labs end if it causes a problem for 5 or so people ?
sounds more like driver issues or fried potatoes, sorry

The idea just wouldn't work, Pirates outlaw battles proved that with their klingon cloaking device causing all sorts of trouble.
Clans being able to fight other clans would only work, if we had no nations. The hysterical Historicals wouldn't be happy

regional servers would only hurt the game with such a small playerbase to begin with. I would have no timers and make every port cost the same as a timer previously did. Many ports would then be seen as un profitable and be left open and be able to be fought over by those nations with fewer players. Having fewer nations will only lead to fewer dlc sales

Feel certain the Russians will react swiftly once they realise the Dutch being used in a proxy war against them shortly. Sources indicate new Dutch want to attack the Russians while the old Dutch have been enjoying a relative peace with the Red Peril
Inconceivable that this will end well for the real Dutch either way

I live 5 miles from where Corona first appeared in the UK , all seems normal enough. Panic buying has started.
interestingly the town where I live was wiped out in the plague years 1600-1700 ish and I lost a fair few family members from the Spanish Flu (1919)
Toilet paper always stocked up. Seems strangely normal right now though

IIRC the deadly pvp'ers rightly complained that they were run from on a regular basis without even the chance of a battle. I would also not want to see it abused

When players in your own nation ( the only one who doesnt show as an enemy player ) want to sink you... that sums up all you need to know
Would you want to be forced into an alliance with players you don't like because lots of alts voted to help your enemy ?

Just go clan based, if you are in a clan, then you can be attacked by another clan. If you're not in a clan.. then your nation is your clan.
Then build a diplomacy system around it. There are not enough nations for all the ego's , alts and gamers thinking they are not noticed when they try and cheat

Can't blame them for being scared of the big dogs. They are happy to dish it out to a smaller nation, less so when it happens to them. In the context of the game, they are fearful of another New Orleans and running off to hide inside GB again
Nations have allies, part of the appeal of the game is the politics and diplomacy. Wanting to declare war but not wanting to join the wrong side. Wanting to hit somebodies friend, without any retaliation

a trader dlc
extra tow per day ( also could make them expensive craftable )
extra contracts
extra cargo space
extra ships for sale
being able to tow an extra ship per day, would not imho take ships from the sea, it would more likely put them in ports / places where more pvp will occur

If only the wars were between the clans involved, the outcome would have been different. Numbers and diplomacy told in the end. Elite small groups are good for the zone , not for a large scale war where you have to remember when you need allies and all that entails
Russians won the gold medal for the war. Swedes were best fleet in battle
