I know I have been a naughty boy this year Santa Devs, but
1) I need coal to build more cannons, so more coal would be nice.

currently renaming clan due to inactive scrub lord clan apparently meaning more than an active clan. will update once this is done.

and are they more worried about the outrage of 2 inactive players with under 100 hours in game or tens of active players with between 1000-5000 hours?

I was creative when I made that name in the first place. It fits in well. It is a strong dutch connection, and it is a true shame some 2 inactive accounts took the name and made it unusable.

several other games do this. it never has created credible outrage. it promotes activity.

well its a 2 member clan with a minimally ranked clan leader, that no one has ever seen. i think that a wipe of ex clans is healthy once in a while in any matter

obviously if it is an active clan then I understand if nothing can be done about it. But we do feel like an active clan is a huge waste of a very good dutch clan nane

I am the creator of a Dutch clan named Koninklijke Marine [KM] on the Global server.
We have several active members that all wish to keep the clan name and several members wanting to join KM on the EU/ Caribbean server however this is where we run into the problem.
There is already a "KM" on the EU/ Caribbean server. When i made a fake clan to do some investigation into this matter i found out this clan has exactly 2 members, of which when I asked other dutch members, they have never heard of or seen the clan. So presumably this is an inactive clan.
We were wondering if that clan couldnt be deleted, or further investigated to the activity as to the affect that a new active, larger KM could replace the presumed to be inactive KM.

speaking only for the Dutch of pvp Global, until we get set up and see where ties are and how people are in the Caribbean server, we can't agree to anything past what the current situation already presents itself as. From what i hear, us Dutch, and you French are currently friendly. We will maintain this as we merge over, and look forward to sailing with you!

cant change mechanics..be it safe zones, Pirate mechanics or lack of....but its all in the pride I have of being a Pirate and not jumping ship when someones grass seems greener.

fully respect that one! I certainly understand the cry/outreach to try and save or create a powerful empire. Been Dutch since the game was released on steam, and as far as I can see, always will be. o7

The pirates are just as much of a nation as any of us "Nationals." You said it yourself in the past when the devs wanted to make the pirates not have national properties and it threatened BLACK's port capturing ability.
So if you really dont want to play the national life go Prussia, Russia, or Poland. The pirates are identical to all other nations.
And of course I must add my recruitment to the Dutch, Verenigde Provinciën, (United Provinces). If you want to play a very un represented nation, a true under dog, and truly make a difference to history and the game, come join us, United we Stand!

Then the Dutch, (Verenigde Provinciën), is for you!
This glorious nation under constant pressure from the south eastern French Empire, and Northern British trade wars was a critical part of this time period that is greatly mis-represented in the current game. One of the first true Trade Empires the Dutch West Indies Company forged massive wealth through their charter. Their fleet was more than ample to protect their wealth from the scourge of raiders and traitors.
Forged by the victories of the legendary Admiral De Ruyter over both Britain and France, saving the southern provinces from certain conquest, the Dutch Navy pre Naval Action time period was truly a force to be reckoned with. With their creation of the Marine, the dutch ruled the seas for almost a century prior to the naval action time period. Due to several events, corruption, and collaboration from all fronts the old dutch navy soon fell victim to becoming out of date and out numbered. Yet during the naval action time period the Dutch trade influence was still massive due to both the west and east indies. However in current standings the dutch, which certainly were more dominant than the Swedish, Russians, Danish, Prussians, and pirates in real life, are faced by low population and as such an underwhelming nation.
Russia, Sweden, France, Britain, these larger nations are not for the player looking to be the underdog. The Verenigde Provinciën is! Truly the southern most starting nation, and with a low population, the challenge is set, but are you ready to take it in arms, to create an empire out of the ashes of our fallen dutch breathern?
