Solely contributing loss of population to one thing is quite ignorant. There are many things that has contributed to loss of population.

Any battle outnumbered and should be dead but rose up to kill the gankers, those moments are the best moments.

You wait until the day of the delayed date to delay it yet again? Brilliant...really, just brilliant, bravo on being so incompetent you don't even know what you're doing, as you do it. You literally have weeks to inform everyone as to your situation and nothing, zero, zip, zilch, nodda until the day is upon you. How about this...INFORM US! Let us know what's going on. By us, I mean your customers...remember us? Maybe one of you could spent fifteen minutes posting your progress once a week...once a week, is that too damn much to ask for? It would be nice if you stopped treating us like....
to be fair, i think everyone just expects this haha. Like this upcoming deadline? pfft

There is level of difficulty as you remember - small nations are hard to play mate. But they were quite good before in NA OW history...so i no worry in advance.
that was when the game was structured completely differently than now. also we are talking in context to your idea. Im done with this conversation, its very obvious at this point you are just disagreeing to disagree.

Life mate. There always been strong and weak. Right of nature. Why should they expand if they are small?
because ITS A GAME and if they are to play it and enjoy it and not quit they have to because their capital wont have all the resources?

Solution for hostility issue: BR of ships in area causing a unrest and points going up slowly. Same for defender but points drop. This can be calculated in every 5 min or so.
smaller nations may never expand past their capitals then if the larger nations really didnt want them to.

please improve grinding up hostility dear god. its too expensive to go out and grind a region for literally days and then get nothing because you have to sail back and forth when the enemy can do 2-3 fleet battles to your 1 because they dont have to sail the extra hours. like. dont you understand. any attacker facing any defensive force will NEVER get the hostility up unless each other's ports are right next to each other of course. The antilles will be a breeze for anyone in there, south america may cause a whole entire nation to say hello kitty it and go to a different nation because honestly 5 hours of sailing to raise it 10% which is gone the next day is hello kitty all

Highly, highly doubt it. Tell yourself middle of July to avoid disappointment. The devs are working hard on making sure this goes off without a hitch or at least as few hitches as possible, because they know post wipe player comebacks to check out the game will be their last real chance at making this game succeed. They must choose their shot placement very carefully, because they only really have one shot left.
im getting more confident in my early 2018 estimate.

"Night flipping" is something we should be working to avoid.
I agree, but I don't think our population is high enough to support this if we want to fill port battles unless the servers are combined. Then after growth perhaps then we can consider splitting servers. Just look at NA server to see what I am talking about

With Snake on this one. Lots of complaints over items that make me question if the complainer ever actually been on the testbed long enough to actually test or are just basing their statements on information that is currently in the LIVE servers.
Careful, you may get burned at the stake for agreeing with me in public Davos ?

I have reported this post as abusive. There is no reason why someone should resort to foul language on the forum, apart fom the fact that it is uncalled for.
He does have a point however, I don't see most of the people complaining in here on the testbed at all. Could be wrong, however if they dint they should.

no they stayed up late at night losing out on family and work life because of a video game, how long do you think it would be before they would find another game where they did not have to give up there personal life to play it ?
i know a lot of people that play this game are retired or do not work, and as far as their family, idk. maybe they arent the family type? A bit presumptuous on your part isnt that?

but yes, i agree that the time dump into this game is too large.

Hence why you should look again if that's what you think happened. I rest my case.
i was there for several port battles that were in the european night. and saw several flips from europe day and american night. thats a night flip? is it not? or do night flips only happen to europeans?

quitters never win and winners never quit lads.

Maybe on PvP2, might want to look into what was happening on PvP1 if you want to gauge what happens when population numbers are higher.
oh i saw both sides night flipping for a while until one side quit and lost.

I don't get why folks just wait and see. Yah I just said that and I"m like the one guy that hates the wait lately. For all me know every one might end up on Global and we have the one server any way. Many folks where locked on one server or the other cause of friends and how much stuff they had there. With the wipe we won't be having anything to tie us down. GLOBAL might BOMB and EU server might be the good one. EU might BOMB (remember the Mirror split?) and be the best one. HELL PvE Might beat every one and become the new main server....nah just joking on that one. For all we know we might get a lot of return players and folks in most nations to give a best balance in most of the time zones for SEA, US, EU....lets just wait and see when the Patch Drops to live and the servers are given a clean slate. Remember didn't they also say they will be given us all a one time change nation token just in case after it starts we want to switch to another nation to balance it out a bit more?
just thought we would get a head start on possible fixes for whatever ends up going wrong hehe

in reference to literally how it has been happening. when a US player flips a port in their mid day it is a night flip in europe i guess that wasnt obvious, sorry.

Basically the upcoming wipe and bringing some version of the economy, crafting, and game mechanics currently being tested in the TB to the live server will make or break this game (at least for a long time). If the economy and other things work, the number of servers won't matter. If playable AND FUN, all servers will grow. If not, it won't matter that we're split up.
I don't believe this wipe will be fun for anyone unless they force the numbers. The game will die with this patch, or if they combine the servers so this update gets applied to a population it is being designed for, it will flourish. With split servers all servers, save for maybe pve, will die because there won't be enough players throughout the nations and clans to support such a grind. If they combine everything there will be. I am afraid that these two things are symbiotic, which isn't good for the current state, but will be later on.

wow.. that's just rich.. Where have you been for the past 6 months before they announced the wipe? If you'd care to read the many, many, many, many threads about nightflipping you'd know just how insane that notion is. If the devs hadn't announced a wipe 2-4 months before it actually came (and yes we're still waiting for it), then the pop points would be a lot better than what they are now.
Or its because the servers are split so there arent enough players to fight each other. Yea, and all the threads about night flipping are by european players that just suck at this game, to be completely honest.

Id also just like to note, especially to you Europeans complaining about night flipping, that US players couldnt flip your guys ports to be in our actual prime since that was when the devs had their no flip times.
Really though while we didnt like that, we still dealt with it and very few quit due to the night flips, most people that i know are taking a break are due to devs (just being honest) and long sailing times compared to their reward. Thats from pvp1 anyways.
As einstein said, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity. And for those of you that want to keep the servers separate with some supposed time rule on them, I dont think you are going to get the result you thought you were going to get. Its the same thing, separating a game with a playerbase possibly sub 1000, and expecting it to be tested well and not lose players when this game relies on high population to be enjoyable.
Splitting these servers is literally the only thing that has remained the same since the population started tanking btw.
