  1. I believe that the biggest balance issue, and part of the reason for the gank fleets, if not the whole reason, is simply player numbers in said nation, and or pirate "nation." To balance this issue i would suggest some sort of player limiting factor per nation that could be implemented by percentile. Depending on others opinions on how that percentile could work every nation should have a +- 0-5% of an even percent of the total players on the server that have logged on in the past X amount of time, allowing for an active nation. OR it could be a somewhat uneven balance more historical to the nations historical presence in the area, i.e. spain with a bunch of population followed by britian, america, dutch, swedes/danes, and pirates. This would limit the pirates, and make them also behave like pirates more than what they do now. However this is a game and that might not be very popular, or it could be very popular. Opinions, more implementation ideas, etc. all welcome. 

  2. I am sorry, but are you actually trying to kill this game? MONTHS to build ships? Our hundreds and in some case thousands of hours of crafting and sailing in this game being "unusable due to database changes and will have to be removed from the game. " And what do you mean we dont use grey, green, blue, and purple ships? I go through tens of them for fleet ships and for cannon fodder and to just have a low risk fun gameplay.. "For example if a shipbuilder wants to increase speed it will increase ship cost AND will have to sacrifice the hull quality" Isnt that how it is now with wood types??? Are you saying that if we want to put better sails on our ship it will somehow magically make my wood weaker? Where are you devs coming up with that one? I understand the hull being weakened if it different wood type as it is now or less wood, so less armor, thats fine. I also like the more crew less hull space, that makes sense. But really, making things just disappear and making it takes months to rebuild one ship after losing tens of them? Yea. no. If this happens i am out. And i bet a lot of others will be as well, including bad reviews and honestly telling people this is just a huge time hole where youll get bored before you can do anything and quit.

Was in a 169xp fleet mission in my Bucuntaure with Helbent in his Ingermanland, and we got massive ping spikes, upwards of around 2000, then the server crashed and we could not get back in for a couple of minutes, then when we got back in the AI was still hammering us and then we lost connection for good. I am afraid that the battle is still in progress and we lost an officer life as well as durability on our ships. If this could be corrected and refunded it would be greatly appreciated.
