actually with the spread out ai soloing fleets much easier.

maybe, but also much more time consuming. i could solo a fleet 1st rate mission in 20-30 minutes before tops. now i have to wait for these ships to get to me. my time is too valuable to be wasted in this. thus i will not be doing this activity anymore. thus there is less to do in the game for me. thus overall the game is even less valuable than what it already was

see the battle time. i ran 30 degrees off with the wind  away from the fleet. #workingasintended. also conis have no business in 1st rate fleet missions sorry forgot to SS the fleet comp

glad to see low level ships can move fast. go do a 1st rate one and watch ships jsut go backwards. and your grinding 1st rate only goes 7kts. its soooo much fun

Huh?  Screenshot?  Are you referring to normal, 1st rate fleet missions pulled form the mission tab? And are you referring to the initial configuration of the ships in these missions?

a screenshot is pointless because its just a photo of water. while you wait for the stupid AI to get within view range. and yes, a normal 1st rate fleet mission pulled from the mission tab. and yes, their initial configuration. go do one yourself

  4. Knobby just wants to attack empty ports and hates the idea that us Americans want to have a fight too. If the Dutch were to change their timers to dutch times they would be one ported, or just be stuck with the 3 ports VNM owns. That's stupid, VNM has an American playerbase to cover American time zone. We WORK AS A NATION, I'm sorry if that bugs you. We are A UNITED PROVINCE. Thus Dutch clans, knowing that us Americans can defend their ports pay the price to protect their ports through using what the Dutch have. And that's an American population. Pervs did nothing wrong, and Sweden proved that it actually wasn't an issue by taking these ports.

  5. the whole entire pirate "nation" shouldnt even exist. Pirates should be the conveyors of "free towns/ports," and if a region has one all other ports in that region see a massive profit deduction, perhaps even negative. This encourages other nations to kill these pirates. To become a pirate is to commit to a life of hardship, of being hunted and shot on sight. You can become a pirate on accident through too much friendly fire damage (much like in the old days) and get a pardon from your previous nation if you sail enough within that nation and someone crafts a pardon for you.

  6. us Dutch have a decent US timezone population, we are looking for more US players, we arent very active in pvp right now as we could use some more pvp players, but given a couple more we have outposts in various free ports just for that very purpose. Today we capped an ocean and sank his friend that was also in an ocean, it was an even match, and we lost a buc and aggy.

Just take them out. They are problematic for a variety of reasons, the least of which is trying to identify and punish the cheaters. Ask yourself why the motivation is so high to do it from a game mechanics standpoint and you'll find the answer.

there was alt farming before hand though too. just not caught as often because of the lack of combat news. Before it was for xp, and resources. I agree that pvp marks, with the way this economy is now, is the only reason to alt farm, however the pvp mark idea is part of a larger experiment me thinks. I believe that this is testing the capabilities and the balances of an admiralty store that encourages, and thus rewards, pvp. If there is no incentive for PVP, and no mass scale player crossing (running into each other on the open world), then pvp will become minimal. So if they take out pvp marks the next step would be to adjust the economy. But that would just encourage pvp farming to get gold at that point, so same problem. Then they would have to test out what i believe to be the solution. Forcing players to be in the same area for pvp. Either by one designated zone that is outside RVR instances of course, or by shrinking the map scale drastically until the player population is large enough to support  a large map. Because here is the reality. I, like the Average working class American, can not spend half a day on the seas looking for some fair fight that will just run away, and give me nothing. I have to put myself in situations where i am ganked to get pvp, or be the ganker. If the seas were smaller, there wouldnt be the time looking for a fair fight that there is now. Thus allowing for more instances of PVP. Without PVP marks. Because I agree, the pvp marks are the cause of such an increase of alt farmers. And clearly banning them isnt changing anything.

As per the Tribunal rules I shouldn't be responding here since I'm not a named party in the case. But I can't refrain any longer:

    When will this stupidity end?

It's time for PvP marks to go. Remove the temptation or at least minimize the impact by making rewards from PvP/alt farming only cosmetic and not "winner-keeps-winning" in nature.  @Ink surely has better things to do with his time than dealing with with the 9/10 tribunals having to do with alt farming, right?

i say its time that the game correlate IPs, and if it is the same IP location, show the player that sank's name. if they dont have the same location, in real life, then it wont show the player's name that sunk.  That is not saying show us players their IP, that would be a behind the scenes, only available to the devs, sort of thing. Then it is easy to say alt farmer or not, and we know the alt name. I mean who is going to commit a crime in broad daylight when every eye is on them.

Though that is prob going to change soon as some clan merges and movements are in the work to get some better fights and resources (like recruits).  Believe me we plan to start up our own little war but all ready expect certain EU clans to freak out and gang up to stop from loosing a port or two.

Interesting. I agree, lets show them something to actually complain about.

According to the devs and the unique log-ins you are.. And I believe (read - believe) that the former RUS and RDNN captains still have a lot of alts in Denmark-Norway that would inflate DK/NGs numbers but wouldn't be an asset in RvR or PvP.. Why anyone would have a dutch alt is beyond me.. Nothing to trade, no large clans that has switched side (CABAL are good players but doesn't really match RUS or RDNN in numbers), so why would anyone have a dutch alt? Try to organize the playerbase - a great way to do this is to make port battles, so you should be happy - we will be giving you guys a reason to find a new sense of community..

i know why our unique log ins are so high, but im not going to tell you why. long story short, they arent players that can, or will participate in anything. they are either clanless and refuse to talk or communicate back when messaged, or are something else. Trust me when I say that there is a much larger story behind that unique log in bs. Because I have only ever seen 25 dutch right as us Americans are logging on, and only for 20 minutes at a time due to the time zome difference. whereas you danes have literally a larger fleet solely in our dutchs' own waters than we do more often than not.

I won't deny that - but the regional server were functioning and the global wasn't.. atm we've seen timers being used for many things, among others to avoid PBs.. The dutch nation is basically a nation of cowards - a group larger than DK/NG but putting nighttime timers to avoid fighting against us.. And when flipped in EU night they don't show..

We are larger than the Danes? Damn. Wish I could find a magical group of 25 to put together

@Sir Texas Sir why not just grab a few of the ports that's gone neutral if you don't have the balls to take a contested port..

33 minutes ago, Sir Texas Sir said:

maybe cause there was no neutral ports until this morning?   You say that like there are neutral ports all the time.

like i said in my earlier post, prepare for butt hurt eu players with less of a fact checker than Hillary Clinton.

That aside. Bearwall, Texas is not afraid of pvp either way. take it from someone from one of the few nations that did fight BLACK back, even though we were vastly outnumbered once other nations couldnt join our PBs. And when they could BLACK still won most of the time, probably 90% of the time, because they were well organized.

Nice personaljty, keep it for yourself

I’ll keep it for those beyond egotistical people that think everything is about them, for which I don’t care about. *shrugs*

i mean you literally didn’t even read ballofsteels post inbetween your post and mine. You literally saw a response and could only think it was about you, when it very clearly was not. I have nothing more to say about that.

but really, I do believe it is time that we have a map wipe. If the global players aren’t as significant as the EU players say, then most the map will be owned by eu anyway, and that will settle that.
