  1. When are there 500 players on global?
  2. Join the United States on Global. Sail south of St Augustine during the evening US time. You will PvP almost every night. You can recruit others most nights for defensive duties. As far as other players... There are not many PvE only people. There are lots of casuals who have the time to PvP once or twice a week often for the US clans that might be a port battle. Other nights they might craft a bit, get goods or level a ship safely. If they face nightly ganks (as it used to be), they will take that hour and play some other Game. But we have been over and over this. You seem incapable of learning from a previous failure and offering anything but more fail. The enemy is not some player not offering themself to you as a nightly Sacrifice... The enemy is crashed population levels and a dead game. Having some low risk fun is necessary for success.
  3. There is more PvP now than while server levels were crashing. More open world PvP, more PBS. It would be better if player numbers recover, but that ship has sailed for a while. The best we can hope for until the move to beta is to recuit new players and keep them around long enough. That has improved too. Your ideas would kill it again.
  4. What is your problem with people who play in safe zones? Doing so is very limited and choosing to do so has a cost. It's like you are personally offended if 100% of the enemy players are not at your disposal for murder. That approach was tried this summer. It failed miserably.
  5. It's not always about what you want. My question to you is why ALL the PvP players don't locate in one region and beat the crap out of each other every night? Yup, just like some players sit in safe zones... Most "PvP" players are looking for cheap kills and not fights against skilled opponents.
  6. Hard mode this year took global to 80 players a night. Putting in some safe zones took it back to 150. The evidence is clear.
  7. True. Money to fight is a given and levels from PvE matter. But you can get good ships from marks alone if your win ratio is high enough.
  8. Koiz is right. It is early in the BRPB era. New tactics will be tried and learned from. I am sure new levels and limits will be tried. And it might prove to be a pile of crap that is dropped.
  9. And sometimes PvE players learn how to fight and start doing PvP. Also some PvE players help newbs get going who become PvP players, or at least targets. And I agree with your one point, why all the hate for the guy who wants to sail safely around. He is playing the game and having fun. Stop creating systems that force him to move or play the game in a way he hates.
  10. Or maybe undefended PBs will lower the hostility bar for the rest. But then you would get token, throw away defenses. Plus every now and then you toss ports you don't care about.
  11. Rigs is right. There is no need to incentivize PvP. The PvP'ers do it for free.
  12. Yup. If the pirates want to create some pvp hotspot, they can do it by their home. In other words, encourage it someplace else. There is plenty of PvP on the East Coast already.
  13. Yes, the coast of Florida really does not need more PvP. Other areas need more.
  14. The US did. Nobody showed up. But why does this song and dance always end up with more pirate attacks towards the US and no Pirate attacks on a major Brit port?
  15. Isn't a French and Spanish seeing other in the open world a herald of the birth of dragons?
  16. The gankfest/hardmode era killed population. Population is the problem and the only solution. Going into Beta is out next best hope if they market the game. But it is not ready yet.
  17. Do we really need two more dead nations? The pattern is clear on global. Start playing for brit, us or pirate. Get mad and switch to a small nation. Get frustrated join the Pirates and gank your old nation. Some just skip the middle step.
