WernerHoffmann Posted March 25, 2020 Share Posted March 25, 2020 Hello! I ran into an issue about an hour ago with my Final Exam on the PvE server. I should've completed it, but I did not receive rewards, notifications or anything. Here's roughly what happened: - I boarded the first ship successfully and stole it (mine was almost sunk). - I ran for a while with the captured Cerberus before finally gunning down the second boat to sinking. - While sinking, the second Cerb managed to pull me into a board. - While awaiting the first action for the board, it kicked me out and said battle complete. Hit leave to exit. Nothing other than that, and it auto-exited me out. I'm wondering if the second Cerberus maybe sank during the boarding action, possibly bugging out the exam results? I have completed this before on my steam account, but not in PvE server with this character. I did also create a bug report in game for the issue. Thanks! According to servers logs and your F11 report there was not successful attempt on the final exam (there were some attempts that led to surrender and one attempt ended being sunk). Tom Farseer Posted March 25, 2020 Share Posted March 25, 2020 Normally ships cannot sink while in boarding. Even at 0 structure, with a ship full of water and survival turned off, it will only sink after the boarding is either finished or interrupted. Did you have a look at the battle timer? It may have been just the time running out and the battle thus finishing with the enemy ship not actually sunk, thus not granting you the rewards. Tip to make it all go a bit faster and the boarding/decrewing easier: Learn mast sniping. Especially on lighter ships it is an incredibly valuable skill. I'm not sure how the AI would've won that boarding attempt, the strength difference was just 20 (170 for them vs. 150 for me), and my morale was around the 40's if I remember correctly. That is interesting though, Tom, about not being able to sink at 0 structure. I didn't know that one. At time of boarding, I still had around 30min on the clock. According to the batle log there was one round ("attack" from bot and your "fire deck guns") after which your moral droped to 0 and the battle ended Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
