Michael J. Caboose
I was wondering if subs would or could be added to the game? Since one of the responsibilities of escorts was warding off subs, so it makes sense some displacement would be put to depth charges and hedgehog mortars. Subs would reinforce the need for destroyers/Torpedo Boats as escorts and only using cruisers and battlecruisers as heavier support. As for the controls I think it should be akin to the controls in Atlantic Fleet. Which is only 4 depths; surface, periscope depth, deep, and very deep. Attacking would be very similar to how it is now attack, retreat, etc. Do you think subs should be added? Why or why not? Any ideas on how they should be implemented? Haratik
They'd have to change the name of the game.
Danvanthevacuumman
I hope they do add it in
akd
You forget that HMS DREADNOUGHT rammed and sunk a u-boat, so it seems that tangling with submarines is already in the name.
WelshZeCorgi
I think that the devs said that subs will be in the game but will only operate on the campaign map. If it attacks a fleet, it will calculate the sub vs the asw training, equipment, weapons, and then do some space wizard magic in the moving picture box to produce a result. WelshZeCorgi
Which means that it won't go to the battle map but do auto-battle on the campaign map.
Ink
The Campaign is under development and we have no definitive answer on the dates and uboat role or function in the campaign yet

They will be but not as actual controllable entity if I remember correctly. You can find more about it on the game's website.
