How could you go into a shallow port with a Renommée?
Some shallow water ports you can enter with deep water ships for some reason.

Ban the IPs of both players for 3 months.

1) is creating an alt to pull a flag and block a port battle ok?
NO it is not ok
2) what should be the punishment?
giving immediately the port to the offended party without the need of a battle
3) And what, if any, mechanics might help to stop this from happening again.
set a minimum level (let's say the rank that gives access to a trinco, consti or 3rd rates) for buying a flag.
giving the port away is not a solution, I think giving a ban, whether that is a week ban or perm ban it does not matter, as long as it does not happen again.
Make it so that only a certain rank can buy that flag, depending on if it's a deep water or shallow water.
If someone troll buys the flag people report it and put on forums with evidence and the punishment is a ban of some time and the devs track the IP and if he does it again with a different account perm ban him.

The issue of losing players is not poor leadership it's the game, it's becoming boring for a lot and extremely bland with nothing to do, there has been an extreme drop in players in the last 2 weeks.

I remember distinctly when sob organised 3 factions against aves and still lost but hey keep thinking you are worth a damn roberts
all good, we had to chase you guys from Mort town to the other side of the map just to get some action because you guys ran, we tried and had some fun but in the end the british won because now you are french... funny how that works.

You guys can have your silly little circljerk all you like, doesn't change the fact that you guys lost mort town, and changed faction because you were getting raped.

The development priorities and development of the gaming is going really really slow, they need a bigger team, one dev gets sick and things get pushed back, that's how small the dev team currently is.

hmm that is really odd, I have never experienced or even heard of a thing like this before, how many times has this happened? and does this only happen in missions? or in all battles, like PVP and PVE?

Can you explain a bit more to what is happening when it kicks you? is the game crashing? is your computer crashing? Or are you in the middle of the battle and then suddenly you are magically back at port and it then says you failed and then notice you lost durability?.
Did you file a bug report using f11? and did you record or take a picture.

haha wut? The french and pirates joined together? Open your eyes mate. We have take all their ports in the last couple days.
i heard that the pirates went french and now some french players are helping the pirates and swedes.

it's a shame, the french, swedes and pirates have all joined together. Is suspicious that the pirates decided to go swedish and french but still help each other in the end.. why not just stay pirate? very fishy.

We NEED a clan warehouse, being scammed is something that can happen and there are ways to avoid it, 1. don't trust strangers. 2. Only let those you trust with the warehouse access. Not having a warehouse because it can be scammed is silly, every other MMO has it and every other MMO has scammers and it's not against the rules it's just morally a asshole thing to do.

I vote no because currently i am playing on PVP2 because i am from Australia and my ping is already 250 ping, merging to a Europe server will mean i will have 350 ping and that is terrible to play at.
for those who say that ping does not effect the game they are wrong or just delusional, with my current ping I have to shoot 1-2 seconds before the ship to actually hit the target, crafting is slow and generally everything else is.

As the devs have stated it's not against the rules so sadly people are going to have to find out for themselves who are the scammers if they do change nations or whatever. Best not to trust strangers and find a good clan with people you can trust, or try crafting for yourself.

Yeah this really pisses me off, I have seen PVP 1 players come on PVP 2 and do recruiting messages for their clan for PVP1...
