As far as I know, it's already damage dependent.
10% damage and more = Assist (don't really remember the number, but it has been posted on the forum not too long ago)
Most damage = Kill

I'm really sure it would add another dimension to the game.
The ships popping into view are very abstract and immersion breaking for me.

Are there any plans to implement the earth curvature?
I think it would add a lot of depth to the game.

I'm pretty sure that the mortar brig can't hit naval targets with the mortar. When I tried, I didn't see any splashes or any hits when targeting ships so...
It can.

Heel is a very important aspect of ships performance in battle.
It's certainly lovely to be 0.5 knots faster than a ship with the stiffness trait. But remember that every time you have to de-power your sails to be able to:
a - Lower the cannons for a close range broadside
b - Deny your adversary the pleasure of shooting into your belly

A 3rd rate with 350 crew still hits just as hard as one with 650. The ships armor and broadside damage doesn't change, only the DPS, which unless you've made a terrible mistake, or are fighting side by side the entire time, barely factors into it.
And you can balance the lower DPS and crew shortage by fitting lighter guns.

Steam will not refund the purchase. Now I open this refund to the makers of Naval Action. If I don't have any resolve by the end of this week, then I will be calling my credit card company.
All this for a loss of virtual assets in an Alpha stage, especially with assets wipe coming soon? You are a joke.

No need. The log isn't supported and isn't accurate. Filing bugs on it is a waste of time.
I wasn't going to file a report on the log. I was going to file a report on my silent guns.
I was just asking if the cannon shot count in combat log is accurate, because the combat log supports my findings about some of my guns not firing in the given broadside salvo from time to time. Happened to me twice already.

Hey guys, I know it's on the radar, so just really posting since most people seemed to be having issues with OW chat. Mine was in battle. All other chat worked last night except 'all' in battle. Which was a shame because I like to have a friendly convo with they enemy

Is the number of guns fired also not correct?
I've encountered a strange thing twice.
I had a whole broadside loaded, fired the whole broadside, but only some of the guns actually fired, and I had to reload the whole broadside again.
The combat log indeed showed only 10 (of 14) guns fired.
If it happens again, I'll file a report.
