  1. To be fair mate I've never given a shit for what people think of me. I don't think they do either. I respect that. This a game so I just learn and get on with it.
  2. At Ambergrease all of the remaining screeners (including many good PVP players) jumped into a battle outside where the Russians had managed to tag our Mortar Brig from inside our battlegroup (we are scratching our heads as to how that is possible). The idea of screening is to keep those guys in battle but our entire PB fleet was left sat outside with no support and 5 Russian ships that equated to our BR sailed out and tagged us. Tactically I salute what the Russians did. We managed to get enough people out to get 3 or 4 into PB and then got others to join after but we had no PB leader so we put together a plan to try and secure the first circle and fake for the middle circle whilst heading to join 2 players we had trying to take third circle. We had no mortar brig so skated the fort guns. We eventually fought when one of our guys was in danger of getting cut off and we would have lost on numbers anyway. The truth is we lost because PVP players looked for marks against the Russians outside of port (nobody remained to screen) and the PB fleet that entered battle was not the planned one. I have learned more about tactics and strategy in one night from having my ass kicked than I would have in normal PVP. I'd also sail with any one of the guys who entered into that PB knowing they were up against the odds. No carebears there...
  3. Appreciate that and understand. As trying to get info out of Steam is like getting blood out of a stone is there any chance you can provide an update from them on estimated time of repair
  4. I can testify this is true, it's usually you outbidding me!
  5. If it is an exploit my silence can be bought
  6. Your image was sourced from Amazon USA - would you like to admit to your real American identity
  7. Trying to write in a smartphone....must be a bit cramped . Beginning has two n's by the way........
  8. Your poor use of English betrays you. 'Gentlemans' Really? Who is your real nation?
  9. He also says we acted as gentlemans instead of gentlemen - I think this confirms what all British players have known all along - Admiral Horatio Hornblower is no GB player. Just a random trolling idiot.
  10. Wouldn't know. So what is it like? Room for both. Most people want to improve and aren't on this forum if they don't care about the game.
  11. This was agreed before we understood the lobby concept but it was also a chance for players who have never be in a PB to understand how the basics work. We will be looking there next. Better to have a clan wanted to learn rather than running trading and ai fleet missions only. Take your point on the PVP marks, but the experience may yield some reward.
  12. All joking aside the VCO clan gained PVP marks, we gained experience and the process was handled honourably on both sides. o7 to all Russian players involved.
  13. Those guys at Misteriosa had only a few players who had experienced a Port Battle. Hats off to the VCO clan who facilitated it and showed us the value of experience. Spanked? I prefer some guys who genuinely love the game, and want to learn and help keep it alive, giving it a go and falling short. The future of the game may be based around those players like SALTP wishing to put their ships at risk to learn. Maybe Christendom you could pop along to the next one so we can get at least 1 kill
  14. I wholeheartedly agree. I'd be happy paying for further content as I already feel like I've had great value for money.
  15. Have to be honest and say that the majority of the chat and banter has been great but my pet hate is people getting over serious in pve. I understand the team ethic in Pvp and the importance of working together but when it's a fairly balanced pve match and people want to play their own game I respect that as it is probably why they chose pve. We've all done the slog of putting damage on to move up a level. What I struggle to understand is the need to criticise other players on how they sail (providing it doesn't include shooting at you!). Let people learn at their own rate and make mistakes and keep the serious strategy banter for Pvp. There are a lot of people who just want to log in and learn in peace, respect that if it is the case. If they ask for help take the time to remember what it was like to learn yourself.
  16. Totally agree with this thread - definitely a good vibe from everybody. Think the change to damage was a good move as it's taken away the fear of losing and encouraged more people to stay even when the odds look bad. Sometimes proves a good time for some friendly banter.
