    The concept itself is not owned by WG, only their design so anybody can make ribbons similar to those owned by WG.

    Does War Gaming own the rights to these types of ribbons? Because at some point in the future I want something similar to this to replace the current hit indicators at the top of the screen.

    Maybe something like these.

    IIRC they were made by WG Employe so yes they own rights to these ribbons.

    I don't know about those one bellow, are they your own design or someone else?

    Ok, I have question for the camping. Is it possible for another nation to attack yours without knowing it? As I belive the worls map will be a replica of the real worls so countries like France and Germany will be merged and the  Nazis attacked France and took it over quite quickly which almost wiped out the entire French Navy.     The game will not follow our history (unless you will make it do one way or another), otherwise there would be no point in playing for example Austria-Hungary since they were divided after World War 1 and lost connection to the sea.

    So in short there is a chance that you will have historical scenario where Germany with Italy and Japan went Cowabunga and there is as well chance that such event will not happen.

    I might be wrong but in terms of "Land Warfare" but the game will be similar to Rule The Waves with Land Warfare being almost non-existing and limited to coastal territory.

    The AI in charge of each of your ships should be the one doing the evasion, not the Admiral or Task Force commander (i.e. the player). This is unnecessary micromanagement otherwise. Only in rare cases like Jutland do you have the commander issuing a direct order to do X because of a torpedo threat, and that was to simply turn the whole fleet away. 

    Now I am not saying this shouldn't be part of difficulty levels (which are a great idea for many aspects), or that you shouldn't be able to manually intervene. But AI does is and should be completely capable of avoiding ones detected with sufficient range/time.

    The real issue is the whole detection scheme. It's not really balanced yet. 

    Dude, I was talking here about markers above the spotted torps not the AI behaviour :) sorry if this sounds like that.

    Not really a good idea.

    First of all: There are crew members that have a job of spotting shit around the ship, but in the end it's yours job as a captain and a player to keep an eye on them and make a correct decision.

    Second: IIRC this game is supposed to be realistic more or less not some arcade game like World of Warships were you have everything possible information from either the game or "legal" mods to "help" you.

    Third: If in the future we will have difficulty level, it wouldn't be that bad idea to add markers like that in lower difficulty levels.

    No.

    In case of Warships like Destroyers or Cruisers you need to shoot at certain areas otherwise you will basically do no damage.

    Sure you don't need to aim for certain parts of the ship, you can just aim at the middle part and hope that you will either burn him down by hitting his fuel tanks and engine or kill the crew members but this will take you a while especially when shooting at anything bigger than a Destroyer.

    It is always the best way to aim at enemy turrets and bellow them to either knock the turrets out or hit the ammunition storage.

    Took me ages just to get the T-14 armata in aw. still stuck on the tiger 2 in warthunder.

    Armored Warfare? Last time I played AW it took me maybe a month to get Tier X MBT by playing PvE ( PvE is best feature in AW #ChangeMyMind )

    Yeah poland had it rough, my country should of alot more harsh on mister toothbrush man during 1937-1939 (bloody chamberlain), but i guess history is history, shame we weren't ready for military confrontation till about 1941-1942 if no war started out until then.

    The HOI4 timelapses are funny, like the one where texas, poland and i think mongolia take over the world lol.

    God imagine the world ruled by texas.

    Toothbrush man... and you later mention a HOI4... where did I see that...
