Stealing is okay? Vic le Viking steals loot from battle
Draymoor replied to Draymoor's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
Again, for the third time, let me know how you would've handled it that solves the situation. -

I didn't allow anything, the game does. Again, let me know how you would solve it and I can agree with you. -

Those proposals simply don't work at all. Perhaps they can apply in 10% of the situations. -

Read the thread before posting nonsense please. Never ignored him. Let me know your enlightened way of how you'd deal with it and I'll agree with you. -

There are such topics already, admins don't seem to pay any attention as it is not part of the future updates list. -
Stealing is okay? Vic le Viking steals loot from battle

How would you even know if he hasn't done the same thing to multiple people if no one reports cause it's only done once to them? There's more than one way of griefing. It's not defined by multiple tags alone. -

If anything I am posting this to bring more awareness to the devs of how broken their loot system is, since I haven't seen any of them address it or mention it in the future update plans. I've had the same experiences as you as well. But telling people they have to get around the broken system while also dealing with player looking to abuse the broken system is just plain ridiculous to me. -
Stealing is okay? Vic le Viking steals loot from battle
Draymoor replied to Draymoor's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
What's it about? The fact that he had zero intention to engage in battle. Just sat around beyond range and waited to swoop in and steal loot and then leave. You expect me to run around chasing a cutter in a 4th rate when he has zero intent to engage in battle? Am I supposed to chase him for 30 minutes so I can then call it griefing? If he had engaged us there would be no problem. -
Stealing is okay? Vic le Viking steals loot from battle
Draymoor replied to Draymoor's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
That's stupid nonsense. If he actually had any intention to engage in battle I'd agree. His intention was to steal from the get go. It wasn't a question, that's what 'rhetorical' means. If it's 'despicable' then why is it allowed? I posted the name. I can post the screenshot if there's any point to doing so. -

That was a rhetorical question... if you didn't get that. Being allowed to sink is pointless is you also didn't read the rest of the post. He wasn't engaging in battle just sitting around waiting to loot our kills. You expect me to chase a cutter in a 4th rate? -
Today I went into a battle with 4 friends vs 9 ai frigates. A player by the name Vic le Viking joined the enemy ai side in a basic cutter to steal the loot from our kills. He stole a 'Wind Book' from one of the sunken ai ships. Proceeded to happily say 'thank you' and left the battle. So @admin am I to understand this okay behavior by developers? I am allowed to sink him? But am I supposed to chase a basic cutter to the end of the map while I am sailing a 4th rate while also ignoring the rest of the battle? He steals and shows off how he doesn't care cause it's obvious developers don't do a thing about it. Stealing from players is okay in Naval Action? I'll post the screen shot if there's actually any point to doing so. I request the item is returned so I can give it to my friend that actually sunk the ship.

Development plans update: 1 half of 2019

Because it isn't a dedicated PVP server. It's a PVE+PVP server. Otherwise why is there any AI sailing around in the first place? 🤔 -

I think they should want Legends back in that case. -
I think they'd sell a lot more if people could buy the ones they actually want though. I don't play both servers or multiple nations. If I only plan on using 3 dollars worth of the DLC why do I need to pay for the rest of it? I'd be happy to buy my nation's flag but for that price I'd feel ripped off.
-
@Spitzenhund In that case I'd suggest to just forget your previous character and start over from scratch as Dutch. A player in my clan just had one of his friends join the game recently and in less than a week with some help he is already sailing a 4th rate. If you have friends to play with, they can help you rank up and get a decent footing back in the game quite quickly.

+1 it's a good idea. Similar thing was present in Mount and Blade if anyone has played that. You could click on 'follow' to auto-follow an allied army.

Should sell the flags by nation for a much lower price. Would would I want to pay for flags that I will never use? I like the DLC but it's too expensive considering I will only use 5 out of all those flags.

What would happen with trading if AI fleets become aggressive? Are we going to need 1st rates to guard traders? A fully loaded indiaman can't outrun any 5th rate AI fleet. -
Economy update 2. Improved trading
Draymoor replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
This indicates, you are in fact releasing incomplete information. It is like announcing the removal of a ship from the game without also announcing it would be replaced with a similar different one and nobody would lose their ships. Is that really so hard to grasp? If you take it as 'bad news' you perhaps should have less of an attitude about players reacting to such bad news. Maybe give your steam reviews a look, see how many mention issues with developers and think about how you respond to your paying customers in this forum, yours or not. People here have legitimate concerns and here you are telling them, that they just don't know what they are talking about. -

Releasing incomplete information is just a bad policy admin, why make players worry about upcoming changes if there's more changes that might make it okay and remove their concerns? If the players don't have enough 'understanding of the subject' it is your fault for throwing out incomplete patch information. Doubloons for teleports still remains a terrible 'feature'. -
Port BR's reduction / RvR alliances
Draymoor replied to OjK's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
This plus getting rid of clan based PBs and making them nation based would add a lot more PBs, imho. More awareness being raised in nations about port battles for nations, in the form of notices and sticky messages, system messages in Nation chat, having a PB tab in your quest/mission window. More reasons to have them, like rewards for every player involved, in the form of reward chests, general items, doubloons. Removing clan controlled ports and simply giving ownership to the entire nation. Nations need more reasons to act as nations, PBs could easily do that. -
