So carronades were the prefered type of weapon used in battles in real life ?

Which one came first carronades or cannons ? I guess carronades must be the most advanced weapon and all the ships using carronades at that time, cause they are very powerfull.

"Bring out the long nines!!!". Scratch that belay that order....."bring  out the carronades!!""

So it's already October and we are supposed to get 4 updates between now and the end of the year... I am having some doubts about the time frame of the updates' releases.

In development it's normal to be late.... but when the game has been officially released  since June it's looking bad and even worse because we don't get any communication about further development and what could make it have some delay. Admin stopped posting on September 12 (https://forum.game-labs.net/profile/1-admin/content/)

We were told 100ks of players had Naval Action on their wish list... I'm still waiting for them to come...

I was a loyal costumer of Game labs and I bought all the games that came out even if I wasn't really playing them, just because I believed in the company and its work. Since the "incident" earlier this year (massive communication boo-boo that ended up with some bans) I have stopped supporting financially Naval Action (no more DLC) and any other game that came out (no age of admiral thingy, no Indian).

I'm sure I'm not the only one to wonder.  And we don't need a novel from Admin... Just an update about the state of the game and its development. It doesn't even have to be a regular post... It could be a post locked so nobody will troll it...

To the best of my memory October has always had a big update every year for the passed 3 I think. Also Dec seems to always have something big so it could be again

A 100 mph speed cap would be awesome, I'm in!  (Exaggerations rob posts of credibility.)

But seriously if you feel like you're wasting time after the first defeat, then why not log off after that defeat.  They won't sink your others in 2 minutes.

i tend to agree with others above, the system is ok.  But I guess I might be in favor of a long speed boost after defeat to be helpful, and make them search harder for you the 2nd time.  But not a surrender all option.

Probably the best solution would be long speed boost or maybe be a solution. Or I would also be fine with not having a speed boost or invisibility just have say a 2 or 3 minute timer where you cannot be attacked  or  attack

  4. My point is if you get jumped by two guys in modded ships , its over.

Maybe have a "surrender all" option where you surrender fleet as well. Your in open sea and if you had retreated them you have to now pop back into open world with less of a ship than your main was , take off, wait for 2-3 guys in endys fly 100 mph upwind , tag you, surrender and this time leave remaining fleet ship in instance so you won't have to do this all over again.

  5. When a player defeats another player with fleet ships that either needs to be the end of it (he loses them all at once) or he needs to have a long cool down to get the port.

If I take out a guy who has 2 or 3 Fleet ships, I don't keep going until he has nothing. If a player takes out the main ship it's most likely he will easily be able to take out the o

ther ships in 2-3 more battle instances in the open-world when the defending player jumps from ship to ship.

If I'm defeated in my main ship, I'm probably not going to win when I exit into open world and one of my fleetships. Now I have to sit and wait to surrender two or three more times! Waste of time. Stupid mechanic

  6. My thing is I live the true pirate life in game....I sail (sneak) into any port in the game. I attack run and hide. I sell stolen cargo from boarded ships. I  buy repairs in enemy ports then camp outside that port to steal and rob more stuff! I have more fun than I ever have.

To live this pirate life of mine I sail the trader snow.....yes it IS a bad ass ship after all. But I'd love to have a bigger one that still could go into the shallows.....otherwise bring on the Indiamen refit😉😁

Indiaman Refit... with bow and stern guns... swivel guns on the weather deck and bow.   Would sport and additional deck of 9 pounders above the 18 pounders, and can run Carronades up to 42 pounds on the main deck. She would sport 2000 hold space.  She would sport a crew of 400, and be a 4th rate ship as she wouldn't fill the historical criteria for a 5th rate or a 3rd rate.

    Price... 24.99 :)

    Agreed 👍

    new update coming soon

please let us know what you want to see in the new roadmap

Rename paints to "Paints package 1"

Release "paints package 2" Wich will be a mixed bag of paints like "paints package 1" this will keep the game interest going if you release new and cool paints every so often...also income!

    SHIP NAMES

I'd like to be able to name my ship. (Even at the risk of 9000 "Black Pearls" sailing around ...SMH

    Names would be cool!

  9. Wipe will not matter....after wipe a rat race to the top of the pile will begin.

Vets will see opportunity to be "king of the hill" , clans, likewise.

What will hurt or kill the game will be any future wipes.

To the DLC haters, DLC will keep the game alive and servers going.

I'll still play, casually, spending a lot less time but still having fun. Although at first, me and me ALTS have to farm our way back up in rank and exp 😂😂😂

I’ve also suspected that this was the plan, if not forever, at least for a long time. It’s one of the few explanations that makes sense of methodology they have taken on this “test”. They make huge, drastic, painful changes causing the population to howl but then rather than adjusting the change in small ways in order to find what works, they make another drastic change in the other direction, or just change something else in a drastic way. Did it ever seem like changes were designed to find solutions to issues the player base faced? Rarely. I wondered if they were basically just searching out the pain points to see where they can sell DLCs in the future to ease the pain.

Dammit you nailed it!! Explains so much!! It all makes sense now....I feel kinda dumb now for not seeing this!
