  1. Yes, annoying, but havent yet found a way to make it easier to use.
  2. Updated beta version at https://na-map-test.netlify.com/: journey duration calculates based on distance, current wind direction and ship speed (assumptions: minimal speed of 4 knots, open world speed is twice the regular speed) @Wraith list of cannons added range for x and z coordinates are -819k to 819k @Norfolk nChance minor improvements May I ask you to test the beta again, especially the journey duration: @jodgi check setting 'double click to plot a course' is selected set current wind and ship under menu item 'Make journey' double click twice on map for each segment to construct a journey
  3. Can do. Currently, I have a large backlog already though as I am stuck at fiddling with nested dropdowns. And the map is already rather complex to use. Even some of my clan members don't know how to use it 😮 although I mostly answer their questions with 'check my map'. Anyway, don't hold your breath but it is rather simple to implement.
  4. Hm, not good. Wanted to improve the map by calculating ship speeds for courses. Will try anyway and you all can check whether it is worthwhile doing.
  5. What is the open world speed factor (2 times the ship speed)? What is the minimal open world speed? Any ideas? @qw569 @Wraith @Banished Privateer
  6. I am currently working on the updated documentation. You can find the current uncompleted draft version at https://github.com/felixvictor/na-map-doc Please comment either here or on github.
  7. Many have asked it, but I don't have the data source for it. If anyone could provide it, I am happy adding it to the map.
  8. Sure, I like suggestions ^^ Oops, did I miss something? How can you travel there? (Can change the coords though) They do. But some browser/OS/screen resolution/... combinations display it wrongly (I have seen it too large, also reported by @Banished Privateer). Will look into it, might take a while though. Never had any issues but I know that others reported performance problems. Probably beyond my amateur skills to fix it.
  9. v6.1 2018-09-15 ship comparison improved (including frame and planking woods) list of frame and planking woods added (for a quick overview, choose wood comparison for a graphical presentation of frame/planks combinations instead) 'select consumed goods' removed as being redundant map initialisation should be faster drop shadows improved (look proper on chrome now)
  10. Yes, left is the base ship and on the right ship compared with. Can do differently though...
  11. Further updated beta version at https://na-map-test.netlify.com/: sailing profile is changed based on woods Big thanks to @jodgi (and his fellows @balticsailor and @qw569 at the Royal Speed Trials Society) 🥂 Test it in any way you can and report back here, please.
  12. Most of the data is being updated automatically from the api after server maintenance. Few bits are taken from xml game file such as thickness and turn speed which is only a semi-auto process.
  13. Great! Will try this but it might take a while until I have time to do it.
  14. Happy to do it but I dont know the math for it... Does anyone? @jodgi
  15. 16. Beta version with improved ship comparison at https://na-map-test.netlify.com/. You can now also choose the different frame and planking woods. Please test functionality and how data is applied.
  17. 1. Try to reload cache ctrl f5 2. Can you post the content of the console, please https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Web_Console/Opening_the_Web_Console
