  1. you know that with each rank you get a min number of crew for free as it is now. It just takes some time for them to "repopulate"
  2. only problem i can see with this idea of crew lvls with cost is that the more wealthy players can keep the high lvl crew. Were the less able to keep a high income is going to suffer from not being able to keep up. As an example you get enough money to get yourself a crew of able seaman. You end up getting into a fight and get sunk/captured. Now all that money is go. (some think well ok so what) You now have to try to grind out the money t get the "good" crew again but now you get ganked when you are trying to do missions or trade to make the money you need to get the better crew. You are now at a MUCH greater disadvantage wit hthe low grade crew if the enemy has top lvl crew. Now you get sunk and are set back EVEN more and the next thing you know you are stuck with 50% effective crew b.c you had a bad fight or 2 and couldnt keep up. i think if it was more like landsman 90% seaman 95% able seaman 100% that way the player still has a chance to overcome the odds with skill.
  3. i think the missions is a much overdue add to this game. It would be helpful no matter what stage of the game you are in.
  4. i really like the 7 day timer but i think that the timer should be set to the size of the nation. So that way the smaller the nation the longer the timer is for the larger nation to try and take it back. This will allow smaller nations to try and compete with larger nations that have more players and ports. Also the larger nation has shorter timers for being attacked that way they will not have as much time to attack other nations as they are defending the larger amount of territory and need to use more resources for that.
  5. The only way i have been able to get that to work and be able to do a fight is after getting together people that i know in the game to do it. Which kinda defeats the point of doing it
  6. I think there needs to be a PVP matchmaking kind of system to have battles that you dont need to worry about sailing half way around the map to find
  7. i think the persistent fight would be a bad thing. Say your in a neck and neck fight with the defenders and 1 or 2 of them make a mistake that allows your team to sink them. They then should not be able to sail back and jump into that battle and change the tide back into the other teams favor. The "persistent" battle only promotes players that have more ships that can be "thrown" into the fight to have a bigger advantage then the players that say only have 1 or 2 ships that can go into the fight.
