  1. That's also why some of us got salty last Friday after the comments of the French. As you saw yesterday, having allies with you is a great advantage, but the amount of coordination required is so great it is not at all 'easy mode', and it makes the potential for mistakes much bigger.

Maybe we should have the Danes and Brits fight over Pampatar while we sip coffee in Willemstad and Fort Royal respectively  B)

First drink is on me ^^

  2.

Congrats to the Danes for doing what the French have been trying for two weeks!

Just wondering Tenahka how the Dutch having +/- 5 British in previous Pampatar defenses and 13+ in the combined fleet of last friday is 'killing the game', but when the french have only 2 guys in an otherwise Danish fleet while at the same time ninja-ing other undefended ports with skeleton is 'smart use of allies.'

    Hypocrisy much?

Still, having said that, yesterday was an effective plan and you have the ports to show for it, well done.

Oh and, 'boohoo unfair 5v2!'  :P

Not hypocrisy, just got a little angered seeing all those brits come up in the south on friday. This was the answer. You guys are forcing us to innovate. I can only say that coordinating last night was quite exhausting. You guys also ninja'd Cano Araguao, the battle finished as we were about to enter.

Edit: we had 4 French captains in the battle with 3 more that couldn't enter and had to be escorted back

  3. Oh I'm not complaining. This is what alliances patch was for... Bringing your allies.

I just find it amusing that they accomplished in one try what you couldn't come close to in 4 battles :-)

There is no shame in saying the Danes have more experience in 1rst rate battles ;-). Hats off for the French who were part of the battle, don't forget them ;-) Must have been a little difficult for them going at the last minute to the Russian TS ^^

  4. anyway the PB was fun, thx for recording.

Its always interessting to rewatch a fight. You started recording at the perfect moment. Even though you were not on ts you were abble to feel the battle and act as if you were. This shows your skills.

    Salute comrade Lenin.

  5. The French community is not willing to make prearranged fights with the British community.

    Reasons are simple:

    - too much bad blood, most of our captain don't want to negociate anything with the brits atm.

    - this would need an agreement with the dutch or they would simply attack us while we are busy elsewhere.

  6. You are turning into the biggest crybaby of them all tenakha.

They introduced alliances so nations can work together.

What are you even complaining about? You defended 1 port and almost stopped the flag for the second one.

The tantrum you are throwing here is ridiculous.

Easy to say when you have the number and your allies just need to fill some gaps. To achieve the same for a smaller nation would need an amount of cooperation unheard of in this game without even speaking about the langage barrier. You say we didn't help the Spanish, the truth is that we were already maintaining the Dutch front with everything we had. And we were loosing ground. We are speaking with our allies. We are coordinating as we can but it's clearly not enough. I'm all for a good fight, I'm not scared of loosing ships, you come I'll fight but don't expect me to be quiet about it.
  7. Well simple you had twice our number, we fight what we can win, we destroyed the Dutch in carupano and almost stopped the flag from being planted in St George's.

And yet some of you called us cowards.

The mighty and chivalrous British nation. Talking trash as usual.

  8. Thx for being there o7 we were inferior in number with no possibilities of reinforcement because of the British screening fleet and with the added pressure of having to send our guys out of the pb as fast as possible to screen St George's. We had decided to let the dutch loose the wind to give us the most option possible (leaving or fighting). We then charged them head on with the wind behind us breaking their formation and destroying them separatly.

    Was fun.

St George's flag was planted with 4min left after being tagged 2 or 3 times. Unfortunately we simply didn't have the number for the pb.

The Dutch are fighting as usual, the British have decided to finish us now that they have pushed the Spanish far enough. You'll see we don't surrender easily as the Dutch can tell you. Even if some of them are spreading the "french are cowards" legend.

Bring your legions we are waiting

  9. I would, alongside Hethwell, like to know if there are any Captains that could make testimony to the accused lack of skill. The accused has presented a testimony that shows his prowess in combat. Can this be confirmed or denied? Is there any evidence of cowardice or incompetence in the fights he attended? If so, Captains, please step up.

At this point, I would find the accused guilty in all points but, "with incapacity as a Komandør respectively". The poll should reflect the different charges as separate points to vote on imo.

The charges, in all but one, can be summed up by saying that fox2run refuses to be a team player. What defense does Fox2run give of his general disrespect to the Danish goals as a collective.

And to the.. ahemm... "honorable" Pirate envoy of the Free Empire...

Am I meant, as a United States officer, to vote in a Danish court martial? I will abstain from the current vote until this issue is cleared up.

    Thomas Pain,

    TF, Commanding

Currently at sea somewhere off the North Cuban coast.

I Tenakha Kan of the French Navy can attest that I was Pursued relentlessly by the above mentionned accused while traveling in my racing Trader Cutter. Fox2run seemed oblivious of the sailing capabilities of his Surprise and followed me for about 10 minutes. While not technically a combat this can provide some hints as to the prowess of the accused

  10. P.S. I don't exactly care much for my own morality. Ask any other British and/or allied player which has had the misfortune of listening to me on TS.

See? You are more constructive when you are pushed :P

For a minute put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself: "what would I do?"

    I'm curious

  11. Still not really all that sure why people are at all surprised or shocked. We don't wish to fight the Spanish whatsoever, but they will never (in real terms) be anything but enemies towards GB. That is their own choice, repeatedly tedious as it is.

So, we instead force them to fight at hellish timers in the morning so we don't have to look to defending the west.

Bullshit conduct codes are all nice and well, but only when certain nations obey it. There is no obligation to follow what other plays deem "correct". And I severely doubt if the shoe was on the other foot that it would be followed.

"Zerging" as people have said before was actually just small groups of organised allied forces taking ports with minimum effort.

Many thanks have to be given for the significant aid that GB received during the offensive by our allies in VP and the U.S.

    Regards.

This dear Sir is a bullshit post that shows the morality of some players is very low.

  12. To Kanay, Chimera and the other camtains saying approximatly the same thing:

It's clear to me you are trying to upset the balance of the server again by bullying Spain into submission while berating it's allies in hope the Spanish while do your biding and change side.

In the end you're just pushing them out of the game and the rest will just hate you for it.

    Plain and simple.

Oh btw, the French have no lessons to take from you.

  13. The Swedes are eager to fight, the Danes are eager to fight, the French are fighting the Dutch, the Spanish are overwhelmed. Balance is key. British captains, turn your eyes to us, we are waiting for you.

  14. Tenakha,

I have the upmost respect for you, we seem to have seen eye to eye on more than one occasion.

I completely agree that not having an opponent in the same time zone must be vexing, but how do we solve this? The British nation has a 24/7 timezone for its player base. If Spain has only the euro time zone, who can they fight in that corner? The USA?

If this is a signification problem for them, they would need to either relocate down to the South Eastern side of the map or for more Euro Centric nations to join them in the north.

If Spain needs a Euro opponent, what do we do?

    Regards,

    Ravenburg.

Unfortunatly I think that it's an unsolvable problem as the only factions with a meaningfull playerbase in oceanic timers are the US, the Pirates and the Brits. The Pirates are Pirates....and are left out of alliances and the Brits and US are allied. As a lambda player I don't have an answer to this problem. The only solution I see for the oceanic players at the moment would be for the US and Birtain to be ennemies but it's not going to happen....So why not try for exemple to set the most important ports for the Spanish to EU timers and set the outer timers to middleground timers? That's something that could be discussed. What could be done also is to prevent the launching of 10 flags in the same minute.

  15. Jeheil talks about biffo in his letters to the king. I like his videos but here it's not biffo here it's just complete annihilation and it's just...wrong.
