Had a Patrol Zone battle, where I left the battle zone circle. However, after the 5 minute countdown, I did not sink as it is intended. See screenshots below.
I re-entered the circle (despite having timer 0), then left circle again, and sailed out of the circle again, timer reached 0 again, still did not sink.
Note: It also applied for the enemy in the battle. He also was outside zone for well over 5 minutes and did not sink.

You cant leave battles in pz for 25 min, after that only if you got some distance from enemy ships and are not tagged. But under those conditions yes you will escape

Don't know the full story but sounds shady. Heard of other occasions where players just surrendered in PZ Battles because they didn't like who joined them..

My workplace has ordered to work in shifts due to corona. I'm working for the tax administration. Office has been closed for public, only correspondence is through Mail and Phonecalls. Already getting loads of calls of people claiming they cannot or will not be able to pay their taxes..
There is no countrywide "lockdown" as in ban on going out yet. But this might happen soon, as people (especially the young generation) don't seem to care much about what is going on. "Oh I'm young and fit, I won't be affected by Corona" - not realizing the issue is not them suffering (or not) from the virus, but them HAVING and SPREADING it to those who are affected much more..

it's not confirmed what's causing the bug to occur ("repeadetly pressing repair" according to OP) - Fairly sure in the first occasion at Conttoy, i just pressed repair, and nothing happened. So, because i thought something lagged out, i pressed it again, and voila.
Maybe other players can give insight how it happened to them

Fair point, thing is it did Not happen to them as they managed to re flip it as reds. Now one could argue about the probability of there being a tribunal, had the DK-russian alt clan Managed to flip nassau.
Anyway this issue seems fixed now.

Imagine scenario (Most likely not gonna happen any time soon, just to make you realize): Vera Cruz gets captured by Sweden. Spanish help a rrussian alter clan (their "Ally" if you wish) grind hostility for Vera Cruz and capture it. The alter clan takes everyone off friendlist. Now you can't do anyhting about it - can't even go re-capture it themselves as Russia without using borked shennanigans themselves. I mean yeah it's fixed now, but you should still see this was an issue.
