    Thank you for your contribution. I to think this is a fair and reasonable request. Maybe the diplomats should look at discussing this? Surely there can be an in house resolution to this problem which would see the EU based Brits stationed for the fights the Spaniards can attend. As an Australasian time zone player I too know the feeling getting up early and going to bed late to achieve some things. I look forward to an easier system. Regards, Ravenburg.

    Tenakha, I have the upmost respect for you, we seem to have seen eye to eye on more than one occasion. I completely agree that not having an opponent in the same time zone must be vexing, but how do we solve this? The British nation has a 24/7 timezone for its player base. If Spain has only the euro time zone, who can they fight in that corner? The USA? If this is a signification problem for them, they would need to either relocate down to the South Eastern side of the map or for more Euro Centric nations to join them in the north. If Spain needs a Euro opponent, what do we do? Regards, Ravenburg.

    Zerging, well we do have a lot of players that need entertaining . Spain has been happy to oblige it would seem. With multiple flags being crafted against British Ports daily I have limited sympathy. In a perfect world I would see rid of the port timers however and allow any Spanish forces, regardless of time to have fair opportunity to defend their ports. I do not like the Port Timers at all, I feel the mechanic excludes a lot of RVR play. However Spain was warned, and we have acted in accordance, the rules of war dictate this to be fair.     What code of conduct might that be exactly? If it is about port timers, you have come to the wrong discussion. Unless what is being stated here is that Australasian time zones are not a legitimate time zone in this game? Or are we expanding that to say that only Australian players may set Australian time zone flags. My goodness, are we segregating? =P

    Well gentlemen, This topic has gotten very much out of hand. The personal insults have become direct, intentional and serve no purpose other than to show your ignorance and or general maliciousness, this has been on both sides of the argument. Spain is at War with GB, this is true, however it has been said that it was in the manner the war was fought that dictated the true victor. Very few here, speaking of the war and the actions taken have presented themselves in a manner that would consider them victorious. Reading the comments about exploits, personal character, the weakness of nations, the skill at which they play and then some very off topic comments from some very angry people. This is a test phase alpha gentlemen, if we don't test it, how will it get better? Does each nation set timers according to when their players are awake, yes, does GB have a large player base, most definitely. However they are spread across an almost 24 hour clock. I would be impressed if we were able to muster double your number at any one time. I personally will no longer entertain the port timer argument, it will be gone soon and replaced. I have much respect for many of my enemies, especially those who have fought on to the end, the Swedes and the French were the last I fought in major engagements. My hats were off to those fine folk, everyone fought with honour and decorum, I personally do not enjoy fighting the Spanish. There are those among the pirate nation (hated that they are) that have also shown exceptional skill and are rightly to be feared in smaller engagements. However I stress, that the comments being flung around this thread have made me question how old we are, how mature. Because this senseless name calling needs to stop. Either that or like everything else it will be reported, shunned and eventually the poor person who does not change their attitude will find their voice a tiny little squeak amongst the debating adults. Fight this war as gentlemen, or keep your toxicity to yourself. Yours hopefully, Ravenburg.

    Well, I stand corrected. May I offer a suggestion to the Spanish Council, being what it is, that you immediately request an amended treaty in regards to Port Attacks on your territories. Well that's what any sane Nation would do...however as per the insults slung back and forward, I can't really say how successful you will be. EricKilla, Johny and Stephen, accept my apologies, it is not my intent to stress the relationship between the USA and Britain. My concerns were towards the technicalities of a treaty that should probably have been better requested by the Spanish. We of course will, and did, defend against any Spanish aggression and will continue to do so. Regards, Ravenburg.

    I totally agree with your concerns, this was not meant to be what this treaty was about. I too would not be silent on the matter and as you can see, am not silent on the matter. I wont agree to having a proxy nation assist in taking ports on the Spanish mainland, directly contradicts what the treaty was meant for. I guess we will have to wait to see what the Nations Councils say, but this is one British Captain that doesn't agree with the port screening for the purpose of taking ports in the treaty specified areas. Your concerns are legitimate and totally valid. Please don't get my wrong however, as per our alliances we will defend ports that are attacked when able, but yes, we should not be assisting in the taking of ports from the Spanish. We can argue the diplomacy patch is out soon and none of it will matter...but it still does as trust and player interactions are still key to the game. Hopefully light comes to the matter soon.     Apologies that you feel that way. As you are unable to provide your own justification to your comment I will consider it just forum flaming, not that I am unfamiliar. I will continue to request fair and open dialogue from all parties in regards to the treaty in discussion in this thread, my opinions on how Spain has handled the situation is just solidified by the comments of Spanish players. We have been told of actions from the Dutch and British Captains in the assisting of taking Spanish Ports, something I would like answers to. Other than that I bid you good day. Regards, Ravenburg.

    Thank you Celtibero, Any British Council member can we please see what has happened here? Are the Dutch not honouring this agreement? To screen for an attack fleet against the territories stipulated in the treaty is a breach. I will not align myself in a group treaty if all factions who have signed it are not upholding it in good faith, to the extent that I will happily organise a fleet to assist the Spanish in holding onto their territories should non authorised factions be taking place. This is not limited to; Screening, blockading, intercepting and any other action by Treaty Nations against Spanish forces to allow the US or any other faction to take ports on the Spanish mainlands. Decatur, hmmm if I have read this treaty wrong then I will duly educate myself, however I will not condone these actions. If we are taking ports under the guise of USA flags then we are essentially back at square one. We are attempting to stabilise, not conquer. As my clan diplomat has gone quiet I will have to discuss this internally. Again, no ill will towards any nation present, however I will defend against aggression on USA held territories, but I will not just trade one way to take ports for another. All issues with USA on Spanish forces is not my concern and I will not intervene unless my allies are directly attacked. (Ports for example) Looking forward to replies from diplomats from Treaty Nations. Regards, Ravenburg.

    Britain has taken no part in the capture of your ports. Any nation who has ratified this treaty and has actively engaged in taking your ports, or assisted in taking your ports, please report to us immediately so the British Council can be notified. With no evidence we will simply assume it was the US forces, which have no current treaty with you, Britain will not assist in the taking of your ports, directly or indirectly. These comments are no longer on subject and will be ignored. If you are not bringing up anything in regards to the treaty, nations involved, breaches of said treaty or wishes to communicate with the councils of any of the nations involved, please take your comments elsewhere. I would suggest creating a ' We are unhappy that USA has alliances and our diplomatic agendas are terrible' thread. I would happily fight alongside Spain if I felt their intentions and the way they treated other nations wasn't ridiculous. On PVP2 and now PVP1 the trend has been unyielding stances, terrible interpersonal dialogue and finger pointing...oh and then ludicrous demands when on the back foot. You want to fight the USA with no intervention from Britain and Dutch....well....you may find you are out of Luck. Don't you have an alliance with another equally turncoat Pirate nation? France perhaps? However you said Spain will not surrender, however you have in the same comment said you will leave for a more balanced game. Pray tell, in the world of MMO open world sandboxes, which game are you commenting on? Some advice as my final comment, if you are going to play a faction based game in a totally liquid player base, don't throw the gauntlet down to every other faction then cry in a corner when no one will have tea with you.     You may note players of the Spanish Nation, that Britain has signed no truce with you. We have agreed to stop taking your ports, however we will actively assist our allies, we did not make this treaty for you to now turn your attention to the US and think that Great Britain would just let it happen. Let me be very clear, Britain will not engage in the taking of your ports inside the treaty defined areas...however if you openly attack our allies you will find British ships defending our allies. Pretty straight forward, we were not going to abandon the US to a one on one match with Spain. We have given you back the numerous ports as per the treaty, you want more of them, then prepare to engage in battle. Regards, Ravenburg.

    You speak out of turn sir. You are addressing members of the British Nation who have done nothing but seek the betterment of the game and our position. Now back to the benches with you. I will not have you slandering KIN members in such a fashion. The British Council will ratify this treaty and we will still have good relations with the USA, to believe otherwise would be senseless, the USA has ever been a friend and ally. Good Day. Ravenburg.

    That is essentially what it boils down to =P. By the power given to me by the God Emperor etc etc. LOAD THE VIRUS BOMBS. But seriously, if the Dutch Council does not want to vote on it and the USA is actually upset about the treaty, we can go back to the norm. Although as it stands the player bases of all the nations is always in flux. As a whole player base we want fun, conflict, pvp and a feeling of achievement (yes it is a game but still we sink HA GET IT enough hours in to want something out of it.) if we continue to steam roll through the yellow ports then Spain will stop playing, same goes for any nation which becomes downtrodden. We need some form of balance. Its just about getting everyone to put down their BUT WHAT ABOUT LAST TIME flags and decide whether we come together to address it, or we let the warmongers continue to capture ports. I wonder what the British council would say to the idea of Operation Haiti again =P. Silliness...I see silliness everywhere...they don't even know they are being silly..... Regards.     Alright Gentlemen, I will let our representatives handle this. Cragger, I have no love for the Spanish, very little in fact, however I will support the attempts of my leadership to propose terms. The US players will always be an ally to me, this has ever been true on PVP2 and now on PVP1. You may read into what was not said or said in any statement but you will just have to take at least one Captains word. If the US calls then at least I will answer. I can essentially promise many a British Captain would have the same sentiment. We understand the Spanish have been hard to bring to terms with their seemingly chaotic approach to Diplomacy, however I will support any step forward. I will not condone any talk of Britain abandoning the USA. I would personally not support such a decision. We will wait to see what our leadership makes of all of this. Regards, Ravenburg.

    Goodness me, Can we have a moderator or admin lock or warn this thread. The last thing these talks need are the hot heads from each nation stirring trouble. While the treaty is in discussion all members of each nation should keep a civil tongue with one another. I know, being the internet this is difficult, however for the work being done here to actually benefit anyone we need to remain polite while those representing the nations clear this up. If the treaty doesn't go ahead, so be it, but let us not divide ourselves entirely before talks have even begun. To the Dutch Council, before you dismiss this entirely out of hand, read its merits before engaging in sweeping statements. If anyone believes that Britain would leave the USA to fight the Pirates alone, they are gravely mistaken. Yes each nation has sacrificed in order to get the map to look as it is, however we have experienced this sort of stagnation before, players leave, the servers suffer, no one wins. This will not benefit every single Captain out there, but without the in built diplomacy, this is what we have. So the nations involved, get your representatives talking and clear this up. I would suggest quickly before talks of war start being insinuated and alliances broken....veiled or otherwise. Regards, Ravenburg.

    Was his agreement cleared by any of the Nations Councils? I mean, I like a war as much as anyone, however I would much prefer all of our nations unify against whatever is brewing in Mortimer. I as always will serve the flag and the King. All aggressors against British territory will be fair game to me. But, definitely, if this treaty is to continue, then we need whoever believes they speak for the council of each Nation to step up in this thread and either condone or dismiss this treaty. I was led by one once...although I must say at least our leadership actually addressed each of the points in a factual manner, what I seem to be hearing a lot from all this is ' A larger player base, beat a smaller player base, twice.' Now...I am not one to judge...but last time I checked the map the Piratas had a lot less territory than I am accustomed to...what happened? My apologies on my ignorance, I have been gone for some time, but once upon a time even the British had significant beef with the Pirate invasion of the map. However all of this is useless posturing. You have been called out Vicious, accept a challenge like a gentlemen like you brag to be, because you cannot for a second realise that saying you are one then bagging on 'Fair Fights' isn't hypocritical. A pirate you may be, however a coward I do not believe you are, you have obviously fought your way up the chain to spout such self entitlement and degrade all other players around you. I will if I must qoute myself when we last had these issues on the Forum, I shall do so. For new players and current players to wish to continue then a code of conduct will always be followed, those that do not will be ignored. I for one do not have time for trolls. Vicious, accept Praters challenge or be silent on the matter. Regardless as your self proclaimed skill as a fleet captain, you have personally attacked the skills of individuals and clans which statistically would be impossible to gauge considering how much time you spend in port (according to reports.) So it is you, not your 'Fleets' that must answer for your comments. However like all that have come before you, it will just be noise in the wind. Good Day, Ravenburg.

    Thank you! I thought it was very much in theme, plus I love a good chortle. Northern, I am sure, there was generally good banter between SOB and the Pirates back on PVP2, well when egos weren't getting in the way...although it seems that nothing has changed on PVP1 either......it's like he has a comment for everything, is there like a filter I can put on my posts? =P
