davidgcox 2
great game, when it works properly (though i do have a few general suggestions about playability and realism). i have os 10.6.8 mac desk top. 3.06 GHz intel core 2 duo 2 gb 800 mhz ddr sdram standard mac mouse (no right click). i tried to save a game and name it "autosave." the game crashed. black screen. had to hard restart. tried to play the game a second time. got to the main menu. chose continue (now it seems to be an option). started the game. then it crashed yet this time my computer was still working because my itunes were continuing to play. mouse cursor moved, left and right arrows moved the cursor, but nothing else. so, had to hard restart a second time. haven't tried the game since. help. Nick Thomadis 3,469
Now re-looking the problem that seems it is related to saves and can happen to other users.Lets do this step to step. - Open Terminal (Go to search on the right corner and write "Terminal")- Copy/Paste the following line:defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES This command unhides hidden files and folders in your Mac -Press RETURN- Then go to Finder and click to your Username. You will see the hidden folder "Library". Open it. If it does not open with double click, right click on it and press "Open". - Browse to the following place:Library/Caches/Game Labs/Ultimate General Gettysburg/Saves - Delete all saves folders. In the example image it is "Autosave" and "testsave". - Launch the game - Be sure to NEVER AGAIN name a manual save as "Autosave" PS. if you want to hide again the files and folders, use in Terminal the following command: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
GetMedieval88 0
There is no "Game Labs" folder in Caches, but there appears to be a unity.Game Labs.Ultimate General Gettysburg. So it is:Library/Caches/unity.Game Labs.Ultimate General Gettysburg/Saves
