Suggestion for removing Ship durability from the game:

Won't disagree.

 

With the current upgrades system and the general aversion to loss on 1 dura for all rates that idea is a utopia.

 

  I think is not so much the cost of the ship itself (you can find an exceptional 4th rate for about half a million depending on nation) , but we would need a rework on non-permanent upgrades, very specially non-.craftable ones...

I never understood sailing games fetish with ship durabilities like potbs now naval action.

 

There is something to be said for a pvp game that you risk a great deal sailing a 1 dura ship out of port for any purpose. Part of the thrill of the game is knowing it could go to the bottom of the ocean and lost forever.

 

The game will adapt if we go to 1 dura for all ships, a true pvp game is 1 dura!

 

Go to 1 dura on ships and open up more space in ports to park ships, simple. It also opens up crafting so that 1 dura ships are much cheaper to build than your 5 or 4 dura etc.

 

People will be worried about losing their gold upgrades, AS THEY SHOULD BE. Its a pvp game, and its more fun when you risk more.

Players have all outpost full of ships = 5x8=40 ships. Assume Dura 3 easch = 120 dura. They need, "how long to loose all"? Sink 1 dura per day = 4 month! or 4 times per day = 1 month...

It´s grind grind grind. Collecting over hunting spirit.

 

And some want to fit all ships with gold mods even you need regular ones only 1 each....
