Cpt Blackthorne Posted July 2, 2016 Share Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) Bringing some more fun to PvP2, I thought I'd start a fishing tournament. Rules and process are located below the advert. Date: Sunday, July 3rd Time: 8pm EST Location: Charleston How to join: Meet Cpt Blackthorne in Charleston. The announcement to join the Fishing Group will be made at 8pm EST. The first 12 people to "F" up in Port Chat will get an invite to join the Tournament Group. How to compete: The group will leave port and sail out to sea. The countdown command will be given to Teleport to Capital. (This ensures no one will have pre-loaded cargo.) Do not enter port. Once we are all back sitting in OW touching the entrance to Charleston, the countdown will begin to race to Beaufort. How to win: The first 3 people to make it to Beaufort and "F" up in Port Chat, exit port to OW, and then again "F" up in Group Chat are the official qualifying competitors based on first one to make the second "F". (This ensures no one has teleported and are not sitting in Beaufort Port loading their cargo with fish they did not catch on the run.) One at a time, Cpt Blackthorne will enter port with a competitor to immediately trade the full cargo and tally their catch. Placement is based on the Fish Point System below. Fish Point System: Each fish has an assigned point value. 20 - Smooth Hammerhead Shark 18 - Giant Oceanic Manta Ray 15 - Eel 12 - Bull Shark 10 - Flying Fish 02 - All other fish DISQUALIFICATION: There will be absolutely no ganking. There will be absolutely no teleportation, except for the initial one done with all competitors to the capital. If you enter Charleston or Beaufort at any length of time, it is assumed you are stuffing your cargo. All fish traded with Cpt Blackthorne must fit in his Lynx. (If it does not fit, it is assumed you are stuffing your cargo during the trade.) You have 5 seconds maximum to load and offer your trade. (This should ensure no one is loading with extra fish not caught during run.) All fish traded is kept by Cpt Blackthorne used toward prize money. Suggestions: Build your own extremely fast Lynx, or buy the fastest one you can find. Possible Exploits: Please comment if you can find any possible exploits in this system. It is possible for all nations to join, however this first one I am testing with just USA nation for the main reason that only my nation can join my group. The next one I will try with multiple nations. Edit: Also, the first step is making certain of an empty hold with the initial tele to capital. So I need to get that figured out for other nations, as they would be sent home. Maybe we could choose a neutral free port that everyone has an OP at. MasterJSB Posted July 2, 2016 Share Posted July 2, 2016 Can us pirates fish for the fishermen? well would be nice if there was future event like this where everyone is welcome instead of ganking... how about some friendly events once inawhile with everyone like racing or fishing like real nations and yes I said nations pirates are considered there own nation tec but yeah prizes can be won and everyone goes home happy to relax from pvp.....but like I'm going to say there are some children among you pirates.
