Colour Blind - In game map

Just a suggestion to help the Colour blind among us.

 

On the in game map, I have trouble telling the difference between the American colour and the Spanish.  I also have trouble telling the Danes colour from the Pirates. 

 

I propose a simple use of colour and symbol on the in game map.

 

Simple lines, T or X shapes etc. in the little circle that represents a port would help those of us with colour blind issues more easily distinguish one nation from another on the in game map.

Yeah, the Danes and the Pirates are almost impossible for me to tell apart.  Generally I have to click each port in the Dominican Republic to figure out who's where.

I find it hard to read even without being particularly colour blind...

Maybe you have some mild color blindness. They say a pretty high percentage of males have some level of color blindness.

I must add to what Chustler said.

If you see all ports in red color you 9/10 will have to reinstall the game.

I have no real problem distinguishing the ports and their colours. However I do see how close they are and so how difficult they could be for someone to distinguish. Nation slags would be easier to see. However I think you'll have to wait to see any graphical changes to the map after most of the core mechanics would be in the game.

I too have a hard time seeing the different colors of nations on the map. Luckily for me in PVP2, USA is warring with all of them lol.

I support this suggestion.

I am not colour/color blind but my son is, so I can feel the pain (so to speak).

The different color/colour scheme is difficult to discern for normal people as is, so a little tweaking would be welcome, imho !
