A full fleet management menu (In OW)

Recommended Posts

Hi !! While thinking about some things that could be fun for the game, i wondered about a fleet menu where you can manage your hired ships.

After all, the ships you hire are on your commands, so you have the right to choose what gun they should use (Like a real fleet commander, after all, it's YOUR fleet and it have to obey to your orders)

The gun fact is only an example, then i'll dig a little more deeply with this !!

At the current state the fleet is just a tool to be a little more stronger in battles, they give you a nice pull for the first levels ~

But, the AI fleet could be more than this, after all ... In the 17 and 18th century, the nations were building armed ships to defend merchants ships and attack the other country ones, so why not add the option to add merchant ships to your fleet ? (Merchant ship you could manage, put ressources on and then let them follow you)

For example, you get a frigate (Your ship) and then 1 merchant ship then 1 other ship to close the escort.

I think the actual fleet content is really bad, and it's incomplete.

Why loose this aspect to the game when you reach a certain rank? You are not improving the game by doing this, diminishing it in my opinion. Mortdelo makes a good suggestion.

This game needs to grow and spread its branches, if you cut them all off so it grows only up in rank then the game will slowly but surely die.

So, why not give your NPC fleet a better role than just farming tool for low levels ?

At least, just give the right to hire frigates when you hit the right rank ... Because, it was like this fleets was involving : 1 Amiral ship with some frigates.

Personnaly, i think the actual fleet content need to evolve and become better, more reliable.
