btw, its ncie to have all the shop data(maybe too overpowered, because you can find cheap ressources if you are online after maintenance just by click), but will you also give us Blueprint and Ship data?

 

I really like to get the Blueprint Data via API and also Shipdata, because its nasty to check after every patch if there was a change.

It doesn't matter anymore since they released api today.  Once the external maps are updated, you will know everything about a port and everything it has in stock, how much it produces and how much it consumes.

It is more a case of false advertisement, if current advantage in the PvP2 server is weighted towards those that pve.  We just want the pvp server to remain as such.  If the server is to remain as it is, then the title of the server should be altered to reflect its milder status.

As for the topic.  I agree with PURGE and OMG.  If you want to keep players around you need to have fun.  The current port battle mechanics are reinforcment mechanics are the biggest preventors of fun from happening and I don't think any patch will be a "major content update" until those issues are addressed because currently they are the most unfun and cause 95% of arguments and disputes on the forums.

i agree with the reinforcement part as it become a "come fight me on my turf" then just strait up pvp fight.

there should be at least some benefit beside just able to make ships at a place you have a shipyard... maybe like a reduce cost of repairs by 20% or you can put you shipyard up for public use and they can then repair for a reduced cost but you also get some of the cost for them using it.

If you are thinking of joining Sons of Liberty then think again. I went down to Tumbado and started looking for trade ships to cap. A large group of Sons of Liberty guys were camped in the middle of the trade lanes between the islands for over 30 minuets. I got tired of them just sitting there is I pulled a trade ship and ended up getting two of them in the battle. What did they do? They destroyed the trade ship i was trying to cap, never saying a word to me about it. I raged in USA chat about them sitting in the middle of the trade lane blocking anyone from attacking any trade ships unless they were willing to also pull them.

 

Their response was to call me an insignificant newb who should have known better than to start a battle that was going to pull them into it. I explained that since they were sitting in the middle of the trade lane for 30 minuets they were bound to be pulled into a fight since the pull circle is very large and the island trade lanes between those islands is rather small. Instead of apologizing to me and everyone else who was prevented to capping trade ships they only blamed me entirely for "Causing the Problem".

 

I then explained to them that treating other Americans like crap because you are too arrogant to move out of the dame trade lane is wrong. Instead, because I was only a first lieutenant. they said that I myself was insignificant (exact words) and that I should have known not to get in their way. As well for five 5 days now the Pirates on PvP2 US have taken almost 10 ports back all while Sons of Liberty with their supposedly 145 members are simply too high and mighty to bother with shallow water battles, that's newb work to them.

 

Sons of Liberty treats other American nation players like garbage, thinks they are high and mighty, and then refuses to defend gains other clans have made without them. If you want to be with a bunch of elitist jack wagons who treat other Americans like trash and call them insignificant then by all means, join Sons of Stupidity. Now, after losing ten ports to the pirates that they were too high and mighty to help defend they blame the newbs in Charleston for not getting involved, the same newbs they claimed were insignificant and treated like trash just days earlier. What a piece of work these trolls are. 

You just admitted to pulling my guys in on purpose...so its your own fault.   Second you have been disrespectful to the my clan from the beginning.  and now you come on our forum post to show even more disrespect and play the innocent one even after you blatantly disrespect our clan over nation and global chat.   This just show how mature you are. And now you want to blame the loss of ports in the Bahamas as our fault for not helping.    We said day one we are deep water ship clan and will not spend time up in the Bahamas as it is shallow waters and very restricting but we are now sending Offensive assets if it gets out of control.  All im going to say now is sorry you feel this way but we play they way we want.

This is what im worried about. I know the devs are keeping pretty firm in their stance on what this game will be but ive seen to many games ruined by squeeky wheels and then they quit anyways.

Hopefully the devs will stick it out and the nay Sayers will be shunned...

As a officer in a large clan in  on the US side i do see the numbers dropping...and i have to constantly recruit to keep our numbers high. but that's what you get from a game that is still in alpha. not that im complaining at all.

[Little things you'd like to see]

Some type of control over your crew now when they shift to either guns sails or boarding....   i know that there is an  upgrade to have a certain amount of crew always on boarding but more fine tuning would be nice

i personally like the double click as it lets me focus on tacking and then aiming.  yes ive accidentally had it on auto turn but it easly corrected and i now make sure that its not on before i shoot.
