  1. Don't let nations outright conquer stuff in war, that's not how things worked even back then. Have them occupy territories on then be able to get them cheaper in a resulting peace agreement
  2. Small thing, but I think the impact of wars beginning on relations is a little bit too high, leading into a series of world wars breaking out. I think you should tweak that one down a little. Also, you might want to grade it by proximity/interest (interest in an area could be another nice mechanic, perhaps conveyed by the number of ship one keeps at the spot). There is little reason for Italy to be upset about Japan and China going to war, for example. Lastly, I'd like to see minors having a little bit more agency, i.e. going to war against each other and pursuing their own ends on the world stage, similar to the dreadnaught race that gripped South America in the early 20th century. As an aside, I feel like majors don't really follow any particular goal, their interactions with myself being rather random (with the exception of Austria-Hungary, which seems to merely be utterly psychotic in their pursuit of conquest of Serbia), with one and the same power in one turn damaging relations with me only to try and improve it the next round. Giving them the ability to strive towards an aim would do well in making the game feel a lot more realistic while it still remained fun
  3. Out of curiosity, what are the odds on the decisions to influence relations to another major? Are there any factors that influence the success rate, and if yes, what?
  4. You can already do that. Just double click on the name. I'd like to see camouflage patterns and decals added to the game. Right now, ships are a little bit drab, when during that time period they tended to have decorative patterns as well as camouflage. Just a small change to spice things up visually. Second, concerning the trading of warships, allowing majors to buy ships if they haven't the capacity to buil their own, like the Russians and Japanese did, would be a good and historical addition to the game. Lastly I heartily support the improvement and overhaul of task force management including the ability to form up our own forces prior to battle
  5. Could you *please* stop Austria from attacking Serbia all the time? It get's really old after a while
  6. I feel like I'm somewhat alone on that count, but I'd really like to see naval treaties. They would add something nice to have to think around during campaign
  7. Got 13% growth for the US as well, in the 1890's. The growth of everyone else is a lot more sane, in the 4s and 5s, so I don't think you need to do much about them, just the US
  8. Concerning land attacks, instead of outright conquering and immediately annexing territories, which at least in Europe was getting out of fashion, how about having areas taken by military might declared "occupied" and then allow the occupying faction to annex during peace talks?
  9. I am about ten years into a campaign with Germany, and performance has gotten really bad; there is not only the long turn rollover, but also a lot of lag whenever I switch screen - either to move over to a menu or while loading a battle, the shipyard or the campaign map - and quite a bit of lag during battles
  10. From my observation, the AI does weigh defense of its home waters far to little, ensuring that if I play in Europe, I can largely dominate the sea since there is no tast force of significant size to oppose me. I think you should look into a way of making the AI defend itself properly instead of sending their entire navy overseas
  11. Why does the German AI feel the need to move their *entire* battleship fleet to Eastern Asia?
  12. It seems that the world war against Russia is created by them moving their entire navy into the Pacific, and in turn pissing off anyone on the way. I would suggest a fleet moving through waters in proximity of someone to not to inflict damage to relations unless both nations are already hostile
  13. And in any case, in the initial stages of WWI German warships were still active in the Pacific
  14. The British and Americans and Russians fought at all of them at the same time.
