How about you sail a real ship instead of some little speed boat that doesn't have a prayer of turning my Connie. Even at 40 percent sails a snow can't board my Connieand three can't even turn it. All I need to do is pop a sail repair every ten minutes and put a broadside into your worthless little boat while sailing downwind. It's boring and a waste of my time. Shit ships should fight other shit ships not ships they shouldn't be fighting in the first place.
I should be able to go out solo in the ship of my choice and not have to worry about jackasses in 6th rates wasting an hour and a half of my time.
Just because you like these little trash boats and enjoy wasting people's time doesn't need mean I should be forced to play your game.
Ive never been killed by a snow or even a group of them in a connie. It's really easy to prevent them from taking out a 4th rate if you know what you are doing. But they have way too much maneuverability and armor to effectively end the fight.
I didn't ask them to be nerfed, all i want is to have fun in game without being griefed for an hour and a half. Maybe a mechanic where if a ship doesn't do over 25 percent armor damage to the broadside in 25 minutes the defending ship can automatically escape?

If this game was to be completely accurate, there would be no rum repairs, no hull repairs, small arms fire on weather decks, no instant communication between ships etc....
At the end of the day, as someone rightly said, it's a game and should not be wholly restricted to how reality was.

I demand that those using TS and other means of communication outside what the game gives be banned. It's effectively cheating the system, amirite guys?

I suggest we get rid of rum! Men filled with shrapnel should not be allowed to join the ranks of the living because of a magic potion.

I dont even know what you mean. Broken mechanic is broken mechanic I dont care the slightest if swedes do it or not. We are not a hive mind like many people seem to think for some reason.
Take it as a compliment. You're efficient, particularly in PB's.

A firstrate can desytroy everything ;-) It just need a skilled captain and not mission makers trying to fight like they would fight Ai.
1 broadside really one good braodside of a pavel can sink a prince and a pavel isnt a first rate ;-)
The problem are not the ships. The problem are the captains that commandeer the ships
Exactly. It's not easy to sail around in a Snow for the vast majority of PVP. That's why one does it and not everyone.
There are captains who have sunk me in short order, it's just because they've properly equipped their ships and know what to do. Most people panic, miss shots or go for demast. The problem isn't the ship, it's the competency of the captain. Sure, there are some ships that are harder than others to kill, the Essex (despite having no rear guns), Cerb and Hermione and to name just three but the skill of the captain plays a major part.

How about you stop sailing around solo in a large ship? That would solve your problem.

I for one see this as not much of a problem. It's rare anyone gets a broadside off on me and certainly not enough to fully hinder. Just imagine the fun I could have with my enemies unable to repair their sails?!

Basic cutters were removed because there was no downside to using them. I pour millions into each Snow so for me, there is a downside to me losing it.
Why should I fight in a way that is convenient for you?
