  1. I am located in Argentina and playing Global server i have been disconnected many many times in the open world since last Friday. Ping goes up to 4000 and then disconnects me.

My network is doing absolutely fine, I do not use any VPN, my family members use the internet with no problems at all.

    Thanks for looking into this.

  2. Server merge or not, I do not care as long as I keep and can access all my dear possessions including everything: outposts, buildings, ships, mods, books, goodies, gold, xp, rank etc.

    NEVER GRINDING AGAIN!!!

  3. Admin, please do not forget:

    1. 2. Allow port owners reduce the BR limit (for money) in the ports they own - creating smaller port battles giving some space to small clans/nations

      • Yes - allow clans to decide on the total size of the port battle                                                                                  245

        245
      • No - full freedom should remain in game (let small clans die out)

I think you are mistaken red dragon as you said and i quote from your post above "RED never helped any pirate". Maybe this will refresh your memory.

I know those 2 players do belong to RED (and probably acted on their own due to old ties with former VCO members). I insist the clan as such is not helping or working for the pirates.

As for MARS and RED clans, looking at the map in Global, I think both clans are heading for either some confrontation or arrangement.

    Wrong Sir Texas Sir,

CKA did not help MARS grind up Las Sabina. We did that on our own. We do not need their help to grind ports. thank you. Unlike the Pirates who seem to need the help of RED and VCO before they took to the black flag. To Raid the US Coast and take Cayo De Sal. Funny how the guy who says alliances are bad for the game. Has allied himself with Two British Clans and the Danes. All to stop the power mad and unstoppable Force that is the MARS clan. That has maybe 8 to 13 active players most weekends and even less on weekdays. From taking over the whole map.

As you can see from the US nations large number of control points 27 compared to the small numbers the Pirates and Great Britain have of 44 and 43 points. That Mars is well on to leading the US nation to total map dominance. As you can see the US nation has green ports all over the map or is it just parts of Florida  and a few islands in the northern Bahamas,

Wrong Darkwell. RED never helped any pirate.

    Random thought of the day:

All current "free ports" become permanent pirate ports. They cannot be captured. Pirates get free outposts in all of them and can teleport between them (captain only -- no ships, as usual).

    Pirates cannot capture ports.

This turns Pirates into, well, pirates. Points of threat all over the map, free outposts, but OW PvP-only.

Any current pirates who want RvR would simply join a nation. (Conversely, anyone who does not care about RvR would probably join pirates.)

I like most of what Slamz says here, only I think that a free outpost in every freetown could be excessive, why not think of choosing let´s say, 5 of them?

        • Pirates hard

All in all It looks quiet good including your addition in page 15, if you devs could make Pirates VERY HARD, WITH UNCONQUERABLE HAVENS IN CENTRAL SHALLOW WATERS AND LEVEL 1 SHIPYARDS ONLY. NO PORT CONQUEST ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR SHALLOW WATERS PORTS. If they capture bigger ships they can enter Free and Neutral towns (unless prohibited by owner clan).

Stay on topic captains. Captains who derail discussions to side issues make feedback comprehension hard. Off topic commenters will be temporarily placed on pre-mod as they make it impossible to have a constructive conversation about specific issues mentioned in the main post.

To all players who commented about cost of pvp here.
Explain this - why there are no players on testbed slugging it out in so called low risk pvp? All slots are unlocked, all ships are free (loads of them). Where is nonstop pvp on testbed?

I tried to enter testbed last Saturday but could not do it because of some problem with libraries and C++, too complicated, man. Plus the waste of time switching between testbed and game proper.

I think Pirates and Sweden should be switched

No what Pirates need is proper mechanic so they aren't just another half nation bastard like they are now.  Honestly Swedes and Danes should go as they had really every little presence int eh area at this time.

But you know Devs are not planning such a move. This is next best to it within the current proposal.

All ports will be split into capturable and non-capturable - the amount of ports will represent gameplay difficulty on these original difficulty levels

    • Spain easy
    • Britain easy
    • USA easy
    • France medium
    • Netherlands medium
    • Pirates hard
    • Denmark hard (only 3 uncapturable ports)
    • Sweden very very very hard (only 1 uncapturable port)

I think Pirates and Sweden should be switched

Fine you want to limit us than limit nationals.   You can't capture ships, any ship you capture auto goes to the Admiralty to be auction off or refitted to be put back into service.  You can only have one SOL at a time.  What captain was ever commissioned on more than one ship in the Navy at time?  If a National Captain is caught in a stolen ship (pirate frigate or any others) than they should be treated as a pirate.

We can go on and on and on on this, but until the Devs change pirates and give them an actually pirate mechanics you have to live with the fact we are still nothing more than a nation with a black flag.  I'm really getting sick of Nationals trying to tell us how to play our nation when ya'll don't even play your own right and make care bear alliance and never fight each other.  If I remember right in history most of the big nations in game actually fought each other at one time or another.  Something many of them refuse to do.

    Quite true.

Besides, when you look at the game now, most French act as Pirates, and Pirates are a powerful nation acting as such.

Lets be honest how much is it used on EU?  If you confine the map to a smaller area you will have nations closer together and fighting over areas of control next to there borders.  Right now nations can get about anything any where and go off and hide in the Gulf or on Bermuda/Kidds and ignore the rest of there nations and basically have a PvE game.

I just looked at the EU server map and looks like the only region that has changed hands in the GoM was NO that the brits own and I bet that is only cause it's a 3 point region.  Hell the is the only reason the pirates took it on Global.

    Maybe you are right.

On the other hand, historically, even pirates went hiding at certain times, traveling as far as Madagascar to settle there and raiding the coast of Africa. Interesting point anyway.

I posted many times about turning them into Privateers and doing a proper reputation system.  Pirates/Privateers shouldn't even be a starting option. It should be something you become in game and used to switch nations to or as a Privateer work for other nations and help small nations fill port battle slots.    Think of Merc Units in MWO how they get +/- for working with certain factions towards there credit and xp.  You get a LoM from Spain on our server you get a big bust to credits and xp.  You work for GB which is one of the bit you take a hit to xp/credits earned.  You will only be a Privateer while you have a LoM, any other time you will be classified as an Outlaw/Pirate or you can just stay one.  This will allow a British Player to become a Privateer for say Spain in game.  Pirates/Privateers/Outlaws would only have Freetown and Pirate haven ports to work out of.  They don't have conquest.  Only allowed to have level 2 shipyards, but can use SOL if captured or bought.   While they hold a LoM for a nation they can enter those ports, but can only put an outpost, but no buildings.

Reputation system can be tied into trading too.  Why would a nation trade with you if you sink there traders all the time.  This will remove the need for the smuggler flag to use other nations ports.

I think it would help to bring it to 5 nations instead of the 8 we currently have.  Prob shut off the Golf of Mexico to as the map just is way to big.

I agree completely, except regarding the Gulf of Mexico, if we think expanding the player base
