I want to apologize in advance for my poor english. Is not my native language but i will do my best.

Short introduction: I have one account in the pvp server and one account in the pve server , however 99.9% of the time i play only in the pvp server. The reason behind this is simple. The pve server lacks features and the exciting around the factor we all see in the pvp server. The risk vs reward factor. So i decided to compile 3 simple ideas that could make the pve server a great game.

1- Let's add port battles to the pve server however with different mechanics. In the pve server it would be the faction king ( AI or the devs or it could be the players voting during the week ) that would pick one port per week for each nation to try to capture. Every port battle would always happen at the weekend in a specific hour and would be open for battle for 1 minute. Now what would make this more interesting to the players? To be guaranteed to always have a big battle. To capture or defend a port can be great of course but the idea behind this is to give all players once per week the fun to be part of a big battle if they wish. So how could make it work?

            Details:

            - Every port battle would have 20 vs 20 ships battle.

            - Doens't matter how many players are in each side. The game will always respawn AI ships in the beginning after the first minute so both teams start the battle with a similar BR and 20 ships in each team.

            - And if a port battle is not between a faction and neutral port but between two factions if there are players in both teams of course it will have pvp but only inside the port battle , not in the OW.

2- Let's add solo and open to all patrol zones where pvp is allowed. Simple as that. There are no pvp in the OW of course but that doens't mean that players are not interested to participate in some pvp engagements just for fun and to win good prizes.

3- Last but also very important. Let's give AI ships in the OW the abiliity to chase and attack player ships in the OW. The big problem i see in the pve serve is it lacks the risk factor that gives excitement and fun to the game. So with this simple change we could bring excitement to the OW.

Simple AI rules that could implemented:

AI ships and AI fleets will attack players ships if they similar in BR or higher.

AI ships and AI fleets that are 2 ranks higher in comparison with the player ship, will not attack him.

AI ships and AI fleets will never attack a player if he is sailing in a 7rate ship.

AI ships that are attacking will not have the speed nerf and will move with normal speeds. This is important to make the player take important decisions. Do i need a fast ship or a tank build?

In conclusion, 3 simple ideas , that i think are easy to implement and i believe that would make the experience in playing the pve server great and amazing fun to all.

So i ask the devs and the other members in the forum to share your thoughts about this.

ideas are intresting but will couse that War server loses population too much becouse PvE server will now have PvP that is consentional so no ganking,...

  2. PvP flag- i disagree i would rather see it done the same way trade in OW works its more secure less chance of: i forgot too change my flag.

PvP Events- we could get events where players face each other in event for example on 21 October we could have Battle of Trafalgar it would be an event so game chooses ship and side for you at the end you get chest for perticipation+bonus for winning.

Ai port battles and map reset every few months i approve.

The following suggestions should in conjunction with each other streamline the current ship list a bit:

    On damage:

    • Reduce gun damage overall by 20%
    • Increase carronade dispersion by 20 to 30%
    • EDIT: Drastically increase stern chaser dispersion (at least 50%)

    On ship rates:

    • Reclass USS Constituion and USS United States as 4th rates (acts as buff via rate-specific books and upgrades)
    • Reclass HMS Indefatigable as a 5th rate (no gameplay effect except for mission choice and historical accuracy)
    • Reclass Cerberus as a 6th rate (acts as buff via rate-specific books and upgrades, also historically accurate)
    • Exception on this is the HMS Agamemnon, being a 3rd rate historically but a 4th rate in game. Not sure how to go about that one. I'd keep it as a 4th as 74s are just that much stronger...

    On ship speeds:

    • Decrease speed of all 4th rates by 0.5 knots
    • Decrease speed of all 3rd and 2nd rates by 1 knot
    • Decrease speed of all 1st rates by 1.5 knots
    • EDIT: Turnrates should be slightly nerfed for all rates above 5th as well.

    Desired effects:

    1. Find a sweet spot in ship survivability vs satisfying broadside effects. With the numbers stated above SoLs will still smoke 6ths and light 5ths. But battles between evenly classed ships should end up being a bit more interesting and longer.

    2. Counter the Speed-SoL-Problem by adjusting speeds overall.

    3. Sort out the ship rates to better fit the british rating system.

Personally I'd love to see a test-bed round with those changes (and only those changes) applied. Exact numbers can then be tweaked afterwards.

EDIT: Number example to clarify effect of damage nerf: (EDIT-EDIT corrected carro numbers)

I just realised that the example above uses old 32 pd carronade damage of 152. The post of @Felix Victor  (https://www.diffchecker.com/ZhVTfhlF) suggests a current value of 108.
That will result in Broadside damage of 4262 for 3rd rate. Three broadsides at -20% damage then are 10228. I would argue the point is still valid though.

    Discuss! 😀

I disagree on cannons damage meybe 32pd and bigger cannons should gain some damage buff,  becouse Frigate reciving a broadside from SOL should be really devestating and frigate should run from enemy SOL not fight her.

I would actualy limit ship speeds so mods and wood choices would not produce overly fast ships that should not be this speeds are my idea so :

    7th, 6th 15,5kn

    5th rate 14,5kn

    4th rate 13,5kn

    3rd rate 12,5kn

    1st and 2nd 11,5kn

checked https://na-map.netlify.com/ connie has 0.3 kn more, higher acceleration and better upwind sailing profile, bellona also have a bigger square sails which pushes it more backwards when tacking and of course it depends on the skill of the captains on the ships, a teak teak connie can be deadly fast catching most frigates :)

Still i belive connie needs her base speed increased by 0.40kn

Yeah, very true. Keep in mind however, you can not hit population, that does not exist to begin with.

Peace server has population but its lower during working/school days.

    Rattvisan guns:                             Aganemnon guns:

    28x24pd                                         26x24pd

    26x18pd                                         26x18pd

    8x6pd                                             12x9pds

Guys calm alittle about Rattvisan its a 24pd light lineship classed as 4th rate like aga and do not forget aga does not need permit
