    It's not about mass tax tools, it's about logs! It's about getting insight in our finances, it's about quality of life for managing a clan, not having to click every single port and write it down and having to do this every day. 

    And secondary to that, we suspect a bug with upkeep, but without even basic tools there is no way to check. You want us to test the game and we are more than willing, but if you don't give us proper tools there is only so much we can do.

  3. Now that money for port upkeep is getting more and more important with the new timer cost and it's influence on RvR, it's time that we finally get some proper clan management and finance tools.

    Problems:

    There is no convenient way to see even the most basic financial stats of a clan. Like total income and total cost. It's ridiculous that we either need to click every port in town management tab and manually write down costs and income, or write an external script to pull it from the api, to get this most basic of information!

    Another feature that is sorely lacking is basic bookkeeping on the clan warehouse. We don't even have 'total money put in', 'total money taken out', 'total spent on upkeep' etc.

     

    To take CABAL as an example, we seem to be managing paying for our massive upkeep, but nobody really knows how we're managing, because all we have to go on is final clan warehouse balance.

     

    @admin you really need to address this stuff before finalizing the UI.

    There is still a ow beside pvp-circus and safezones and it's not an issue to supply most of the free ports with ships and repairs. Tumbado has usually a good stock of repairs - although expensive, but that's only the compensation for the traders risk to haul them there.

    You could easily open outposts in several freeports and buy ai ships for the patrol or tow one there per day if ya insist. But excessive towing per day is only lame. That's still a sailing game, goddammit!

    What short memory you have. After the wipe there were double the amount of daily players, yet there was hardly any OW pvp. The reason? No tow, no teleport.

    Well, big ships with some sail damage that gets in irons because of wind changes is pretty much hello kittyed i think. But we'll see how it goes before drawing an actual conclusion!

    I wouldn't brig a spanish rig into the pvp zone though!

  6. Feedback on yesterdays patrol missions:

    There is a problem where the 'always open' battle can get really unbalanced. I saw a few battles that were really unbalanced but the game would only let me join the bigger side of the battle. Join mechanism should be used to equalize BR somewhat. Also, I think battles should close after 30-40m or something. After 40 minutes of fighting the initial fighters are so battered that they don't have a chance against a group of new joiners. Wind changes combined with the shrinking circle is a really bad combination. In general I think the wind changes too fast and too much, but with circle of doom it can be a RNG death sentence, and has nothing at all to do with skill. Chains still OP

    That said, I had great fun yesterday!

    No noob has outpost in freetowns and sails to pvp area to get ganked. There is no problem.

    Initially it was the two pirates vs me, then the rest of CABAL joined. Pirates were nearly killed and my sails completely gone by the time the prussians joined.

    For some reason my kill of one of the pirates didn't register in the battle, but it did show up in combat news, some kind of bug...

I find it very telling that the guy who cried the hardest for days on these forums about how unfair it was to be 'multiflipped' (really it was only a duoflip) by half the server, all because he and his buddies acted like dicks, the same guy then goes to personally organize an 'octoflip' vs RSC because gregory acted like a dick. Ofcourse then he spends the next days bragging about it on the forums.

    Only goes to show how Christendom speaks with a forked tongue and will say or do anything to advance his agenda. Any professions about the good of the server are nothing but smokescreens.

    I hate PB-dodging timers as much as the next guy (we have Christy to thank for that too btw!) but jesus could you be any more hypocritical? 

    As his buddy Graf loves to say: 'Do as he says, not as he does.'

  10. All you guys complaining about how this will be a gankers paradise completely miss the point. Before this, if you got ganked you gained nothing unless you were able to sink one of the gankers. With this pvp mission you can use a throwaway store-bought or npc-capped ship and get rewarded even if you sink and even if you kill nobody. All you have to do is do damage, any kind of damage!

    So let me repeat: even if you get ganked, just fight and you will get rewarded! Regardless of the outcome of the fight! You don't even have to do it in one go, you can sink 3 times  if that is what it takes. Who wouldn't trade npc-capped ships for pvp marks?

    So where were you? We took these ports with 3-5 guys, and the only 3 VP guys that showed up are ppl that I know to be Dutch IRL. You could easily have stopped us, cus we only had a tiny fleet. The fact that not a single American showed up proves me right.

    Nobody wants to one-port anybody. And nothing is more boring than attacking an empty port.

  12. How many of these elusive Americans are in MRF, who many in EDR? Of course WO and BLANC will set their timers in their prime time. You guys, like PERVS before, just set the timers so ppl will have to give up sleep to attack you. The only reason we were able to take those dutch ports is 3 guys gave up their sleep and the dutch couldn't defend because they do not play at those times!

    Maybe we need some insomniac server police taskforce who will smack down clans who put timers to dodge PBs. Won't need many guys, because true cancer timers are set when the perpetrators themselves can't defend.

    You are complaining about somebody else's timers, while your clan and your buddies' clan have even worse hello kittying timers. If you cannot see the hypocrisy in that you truly are beyond all help.

  14. Funny how Gregory got all defensive before a single name was mentioned. All Sevn did was suggest a clan-window instead of a port-window, but look Gregory thought he personally was attacked. At the same time it proved ScipioTortuga is immune to irony. The whole hello kittying gulf of mexico is owned by French Euro clans with timers in the middle of the night and who's complaining about timers...?

    IMO the whole timer thing is a cancer in the game, and we all saw it coming with the server merge. It was the biggest reason for the spilt in the first place! Unfortunately Christendom shouted the hardest and the longest and got what he wanted.

    Please devs, something needs to be done! And no, a slightly different version of the warsupply bomb is not gonna solve anything, it will just make shit worse!
