But is there not a limit to how long it can survive on a surface? Think I read something abouth it. And as airborne distance to the persons around you should have an affect. Something about Fall down and not floating around.

I think you miss understand. You are not likely to get infected by touching objects.

Wrong my dude, touching anything that is infected and then touching your face for example is common way to catch this or most common viruses.

Nope that's not the case. It is most definitely not the most common way to catch corona. Stop with a the misinformation please.

Spread from contact with contaminated surfaces or objects

It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads."

washing their hands frequently, daily showers, clean clothing/bedding, housekeeping,

None of these things actually make a difference.

A homeless person is less likely to get the virus because they are more isolated from the rest of society.

Personal hygiene makes no difference. Its the air you breath.

there are fact and history and aside from that there is fun. The game tweaked history in many ways, but shallows are simply broken at the moment.

32's are a pain and should be limited to 12pd normal canon ship.

Maximum in shallows to be fun should be 24's or 18's.

or fix the damage balance of the carronades altogether. As we can see in this beautiful painting, neither ship uses carros. they both have normal guns. carros should not be meta and a fight shouldnt last 3 min.

cannonades were meta in real life because they are vastly superior than cannons at everything except range. As long as the combat system favors DPS over strategy people will use carros. There is a fix to the issue and would not even require a change to the damage stats. Devs love the historical game play when it suits them but when it comes to repairs, rum and suicide bombers history is irrelevant.

Chat will be banned for 7 days.

Оскорбления членов семьи матерей сестер и дочерей настрого запрещены в этой игре
    бан чата 7 дней
повторные оскорбления подобного рода могут привести к перманентному бану чата

Insults of family members, sisters, mothers, daughters are strictly prohibited in our game
First offense  - 7 day chat ban
Repeat insults will cause permanent chat ban on steam account.(Which will persist even after player deletion).

Why is it not OK to insult someone's mother yet perfectly OK to call him a chump? Its not fair for Gregory to provoke a man into getting a 7 day chat ban. I recognise a pattern when its the same players constantly reporting others in tribunal. Offense is taken and not given and giving Gregory a 7 day chat ban for calling this man a chump is only fair. You cannot ban someone after being provoked. It's morally wrong in my opinion. I know Gregory and he is only reporting this guy out of spite. My mother, 3 sisters and possible future daughters have little interest in what some looser calls them from the other side of the world. Tribunal is your law and I accept that but I cannot just keep my mouth shut when I believe someone is being unfairly treated.

If it is something we dont like, we can show displeasure and work for the change. But the game is suddenly mixed review to mostly negative, that is not good for long term because the reviews can stay there but people who dont know will look at the review and unaware the changes after that.

you can change your reviews on steam. I believe a recent steam update reminds you if you want to update your review after a certain amount of time too.

  8. Some of us bought this game when it was as realistic as it could be and are quite sad that it has went on a different path. I am not the review bombing person but I do not have many good words for this game besides that it has potential. The sailing is good but all the mechanics around it are in my honest opinion terrible. The only reason I have not reviewed this game is because I have more negative things to say than positive. In a sense I am actually the more evil person because I am denying steam users what I honestly believe. Its not them being evil, its just them wanting the fundamental design of PVE to be left as it is. The only reason its worth recommending is because there is no other options. Sure someone that wants to sail a ship of the line in a video game will enjoy naval action for a time on the PVE server. I cannot speak for pve because I don't play it. What do I have to say about naval actions pvp server then?

Naval Action is a hardcore, realistic, and beautifully detailed naval combat sandbox immersing players into the experience of the most beautiful period of naval history - when sailing ships ruled the seas.

Its not Hardcore in my opinion but what is hardcore? A game that lets you use a medikit every few minutes? A game that tells you your positon on the minimap? A game that lets you join the winning side if you pay 20 euros? A game that lets you redeem a ship for 10 euros? A game that lets you buy more buildings slots for 10 euros? Its still p2w btw I just have given up on that point.

Its not realistic and has shifted away from realism ever since sea trials. Sea trials sailing was not as real and even the hit point system but at the time it was it was trying to be more real. 3 repairs, mistakes were very punishing and when you took damage it meant something.

Its also not a sandbox game because your choices are far to limited. Again the first version of open world gave you full freedom on who you could attack. You did not like your nation member, you attack him and go pirate. You could attack whatever you wanted and it was a pvpers wet dream. Instead on making those mechanics deeper they removed them.

Naval action does not meet many of its fundamental game mechanics that gamelabs were aiming at with sea trials. That is a problem for some of us. I could recommend sea trials with all its flaws because it did many things right even with its many flaws. Naval action does almost nothing right. How could I review the current version positive when it is a badly designed game overall.

I have made many posts over the years about things that I believe are not designed well. I do not want to repeat them here but Naval Action as it currently is, IS NOT a good game. Its a game that had alot of potential but many bad games have that.

actually you could: it's called handicap (like in golf). In example: the higher the PVP kills (or K/D ratio) the more a handicap affects one random ships' stat.

well that is not fair and competitive games are generally suppose be fair. K/D ratio has little to do with skill. You can have a K/D ratio of 10:1 from killing noobs all day or a K/D ratio of 1:1 from competitive gameplay. There are a handfull of players on this server that have been on the leaderboards many times that I personally would not consider good at all. More PVP kills just means you play more. Anyway that doesnt matter anyway since there are many other issues that could reduce the problem before even considering artificail handicaps in a lite sim.

I remember playing COD4, a game that had a K/D ratio and players often judged skill by it. The issue I however noticed that when I played domination or team deathmatch my K/D ratio would increase towards 2 yet when I played search and destroy it would become on average far lower. To be fair I only noticed it changing on alts because my main had 30000 or 50000 kills i believe. The reason for that is search and destroy was played more tactically and by better players overall. K/D ratios are the worst thing to add to games if your goal is to create good gameplay. Battlefield players that play Rush the way it is suppost to be played will have a far lower K/D ratio than a player that only snipes and does nothing meaningful. I remember having a K/D ratio of 1.40 in BF3 yet a win loose ratio of 3:00. Its because we went balls deep to get the charge planted and just didn't give a shit.

There is absolutely no possible way to fairly design a system that balances gameplay and every player there is will quite if you did so. Even the noobs because noobs like killing newer noobs.

This game seems to be made by and for an inbred elite community. Killing the other small nations leaves boredom in the end. So what to do? Make the game a little bit more difficult for the elitarians. No one cares about new Players and noobs.. why should one.. the game is made by the droogs for the droogs.

well you cannot design a game to be more difficult for the elite and easier for new players. You can only reduce the bonuses they get from grinding. The skill gap will always exist since this game is fundamentally an extremely skill based game. That is one of the best parts of naval action. I do attack the game for being less skill based than it was because now we have kit on top of the skill but the skill element is still in the game. Its just overshadowed by mods etc.

I tried to find the reason why I should participate in the RVR and could not.

Access to good ships is provided by money. Money gives delivery missions. Well, or buy another account during the discounts and send it to earn money and ships in the most powerful nation.

Port battles can only be seen in the context of a challenges. For example, capture Cartagena or capture all 55 point ports. Developers will not be able to come up with interesting challenges. Only a few people could do this, most of whom are no longer playing.

Where are those players and why do they not play? Where are the new generation of good players? Gamers are gamers and its the game that changes not the players. This game is not competitive in terms of skill and only rewards grinding. The devs cannot move away from sandbox more and more yet expect the players to make the content. Player driven content requires players and mechanics to support them. Right now the mechanics are failing.

If you want a port battle on the pvp server, how much work is their required for that 1 hour of fun?

Regarding "seasons", you can reset ownership of the ports and port investments, but if you ever wipe anything related to a player, i.e. their rank, crafting level, ship slots, skill books, recipes, money, etc., you will lose more players than you gain.  Regarding crafting buildings, if they are wiped, then all Reals and Doubloons should be refunded to the player.

I know for a fact that I would quit playing forever, as would everyone in Military Gamers.  Wipes and resets are over.  That was the promise made, and it should be kept.  The only reason any of us came back to the game after the release wipe was because of this promise, so don't just assume from some statistics that the wipe was what brought players back.

a wipe is toxic yes but refunding the players after a wipe wouldn't really be a wipe. Just saying.
