  1. Awh you're such a little rebel aren't you You and yours have fought back against the terrible oppression of clans working together in friendship and common cause and gallantly elected to 'stick it to the man'. Good on you sir, keep fighting your good fight. Damn the sheeple that want a democratic and unified nation! Wake up sheeple!
  2. Congrats to the Dutch, a unified nation is a happy nation.
  3. --- I should mention though Glazo that I find your response above commendable, it's just a shame that all members of PFK are not so gracious about battle outcomes.
  4. Perhaps if a ship surrenders in battle, it would allow enemy ships access to its hold. They could come up alongside akin to a boarding action and choose to take items from the hold or choose to take the ship as a prize (lose 1 durability for surrendered player, gain 1 durability ship for victor). It would allow in-game negotiating - "Surrender your cargo and I will let you go free". The risk that the other player would not honour their word and capture the ship would be a factor in making your decision to run or surrender.
  5. Yes - it would be much better to totally wipe them out. It's just unfortunate that they get to keep their capitals Otherwise you could force every single Swedish and French player away from the game for good leaving yourselves a huge PvE area in the east and 500 or so less players to fight for slots when you want to connect to the game. Before someone plays the "But we need to let the devs see that it's not working right at the moment and see this through to the bitter end!" card, a short and sweet version of the game you would create for yourselves if nobody was prepared to talk: 1. Wipe nation 2. Wiped nation players leave 3. No players to fight against 4. But you won your virtual internet war I suppose! \o/ Don't make the mistake of assuming the devs are fools - anyone can see that the mechanics are not working.
  6. I think proclaiming victory in a skirmish that PFK lost and trying to gain more followers with said lie would count as a conspiracy. Perhaps it's just propaganda - you certainly will need many more than the 25 captains that came last night I look forward to intercepting more ships fleeing from your future 'victories' o7
  7. Would it not be more appropriate for the PFK to join the pirate nation now? They certainly do not seem to be aligned politically with the majority of the Dutch nation and would undoubtedly get much more PVP that way... In fact I think politically aligned is too soft a word - the Dutch captains I know would even readily sail with Frenchman against these rogues. 'PFK angry that financial investiture in the east against the French now worthless after treaty' > They waste millions on a doomed-to-fail attack on Puerto de Espagne and St Louis 'PFK wants more PVP' = Tries to fool the French into sailing north so they can attempt to take Puerto de Espagne unopposed
  8. I fear such statements do naught but fan the flames of those who wish to see a united east rise against the British. I cannot see that the British would be capable of defending their interests when seemingly unable to even deter Danish or Dutch invasion of French and Swedish territory.
  9. I, too, enjoyed the Cerberus, but this change of paint certainly wouldn't go amiss. I assume it is based in reality?
  10. I agree that they change hands far too readily. On this subject I think it would also be beneficial to see a set of 'starting' ports that cannot be captured by a nation. I.e. Sweden starts with a minimum of say 10 ports, which cannot be captured and will always be Swedish. This would prevent the overnight ganking of a nation like we saw with the Danish vs the Swedish and ensure that nations always have a 'foothold' in the game. PS. The retaking of the Swedish ports was part of a treaty, they were 'allowed' by the danes to retake them undefended in quick succession.
  11. A fine propaganda attempt by the Polskie rogue clan that so wishes to sow discord even after the war is over. However, a French victory it was - do not be deceived by well-timed screenshots. The French intent was purely to sink the two flag carriers (who were intercepted 26 nautical miles away from their intended destination, I might add) which was thoroughly achieved - even though they spent the entire battle trying to escape. The rest of the PFK fleet was intercepted and destroyed as they fled from battle after watching their leaders sink. Perhaps if more of you had shown up you might have actually made it into the bay The big morale boost to the French nation was thoroughly welcome, though. Please come again! An interesting comment in battle-chat from Icceman too, revealing the PFK's intent to attack the Danish this week?
