    LOL.... Ok... So getting fully prepped for PvP is ruining the game?  What ruins the game is what ruins every game.. 4+ v 1 ganks and camping... But the oh so brave PvPers just cry about small areas they cant gank in....   Now that said.. I would be all for Lowering the Gold payouts for mission inside the Reinforcement zones a LOT... I dont do those for money but to unlock Skill boxes on ships so I have a better chance in that ship in RvR and PvP

    That would make them 5 times bigger no smaller. In MT I can get missions on the North Coast of Cuba or Haiti or as far north as Salinia Point

    It needs to be Rate based NOT BR based.. Like actual fleets were...  ie...

     For each 1st or 2nd rate you bring You have to have 3 3rd/4th rates in your Fleet. If it is a Mid sized PB(currently called 4th rate) For every 4th rate you would need 3 5th rates (or smaller)... 1st and 2nd Rates were Squadron Command ships..  4th Rates or  older 3rds were Frigate Squadron Command Ships..   But requiring a spread in the structure makes building a Meta a LOT tougher

    Ultimately what would help the most is what some of the greatest forum warriors dont want.  A server merger.

    Merger would do very little for some time zones be nice for others...  It wouldn't hurt any of them.

     

      I think the biggest mistake was removing so many of the Free towns... 

     

       I still think IT would have been best to Give the Pirates Igauna Region Kidds Island , Bensalmn and Aves and Cogi... No Green zones around the singles.. They would be Neutral Pirate controlled towns...  So anyone could dock and trade but at own risk... Only pirates could have buildings in them..   Then no RvR for Pirates.. Make SHips and pirate Nationals...

       Reinforcement Zones need to be BR level of attackers if the target is above a set rank.. Stupid respond levels to protect the noobs... But if you can fully man any of the 5th rates and you get jumped by 3 other 5th rates all you should get is 2 more 5th rates to help not a 1st Rate Squadron(something which never existed ever in the age of sail)...  Yes I know I rambled.. I'm old deal with it

I would love the current damage model to be more realistic when a ram happens...   Ie  A ship under Full sail runs into a ship big enough to slow it suddenly.. Sails still full of wind.. BAD things start happening suddenly to masts and spars... Same for running aground at full speed in almost any sailing ship

    Honestly a Fire ship fit should only have a crew just big enough to run sailing enough to acyually sail and nothing more... and until you lock the rudder on copurse the chance of catching fire should be normal

    This would work if we had a couple hundred players online all the time for every nation. But as I type this we have 107 online for EU server Total.... Spread across 7 nations. MAkes calling for Player help from your nation player base a case of blind luck

    I read that as "Player Character Rank"

    So in short. I understood his Suggestion as in the Safezone you can ONLY do the Mission that is Equivalent to your Rank. So you cannot Farm easier or harder Missions.

     

    Now in my case. My Rank will usually get me up against 3rd to 4th Rates. But if I got Killed and got no Ship. How am I supposed to do these Missions ?

    Just because I am a certain Rank does not mean I got tons of Combat Marks Stored up somewhere.

    I currently got 73 of them if you want to know. And even assuming I got 2 more to Buy a Hermione. I would never go into an Flag Captain Mission with that lol.

     

     

    But his actual Suggestion was Different.

    He is likely a Brit. What he meant with "PC Rank" was "Post Captain Rank" a Rank only available for the British Navy which I am not part of thus not having known the Rank till he named it.

     

    Meaning his Suggestion is that you can only do Post Captain Rank Missions and Lower.

    That is a Problem for a Different Reason.

    Because that would mean. A Rear Admiral can only do Missions that are too small for him and dont give him a good Reward.

    Meaning that the Safezone would in Fact get a Simple and Straight Nerf to their Rewards.

    Which would merely Result in PvE Players feeling treated unfair and leaving the Game. It would not help to get more PvP. Because it would merely feel like a Punishment for not Playing like a certain other Player Group wants. And People do not have Fun being Punished. (well I guess a few do lol but they will leave the Safezone without that *gg*) so the Game becomes less Fun for them and they leave the Game.

    WTF you on about? You were complaining about not having money to do 3-4th rate mission in a proper ships.. I was explaining that waslt a real issue .. if you are tyhe rank to do them then you should have he CMs to spend.. None of which has to do with the Topic...

    Just give it a rest and leave the safezones as they are.

    The People which do not leave the Safezone to PvP will not PvP even if the Safezone is removed.

    They just leave the Game thats all that happens here.

    You dont need money.. 150 combat marks gets you a Wasa which can do those easy. Same for teh 5th rates with a L\'Herm

    In no way were/are ships like that instantly usable and while 'stored' they would also require maintenance. And even then, some ships never see/saw the water again, some parts get salvaged maybe. Having a wooden ship out of water for a longer time is also very detrimental to the ships hull (stresses work differently, the wood dries out, more leaking afterwards, etc.).

    This storing of ships also only happens in very specific circumstances (war, very short timeperiods). It is a costly affair, hence it is/was not done very often.

    Well if your going to go with that.. It should take Months to Years of in game time to build any ships.. but no one would play then
