If they remove alts they would have to refund all those accounts for the purchase that was made in good faith within the existing rules or risk getting the crap sued out of them.
-
it already did.. in the cost of investment for the Upgrade
-
even those it is about the crew you hire and command.. also why I suggested 2 points.. if you have Hold Opt and both fleet perks and that you pretty much out of points anyway or slots:)
-
Fleet Perk.... 2 Points all Fleet ships get same Perk Bonuses as Player lead ship does .. ie Hold Optimization ect...

Yup. Don't bother going beyond 5th rates unless you're in a large clan.
Do you have 5th rate missions? Because the Russian area I cant find any.. and he have a lack of enemy AI to farm also

Aren't all the fixed defenses supposed to be inside the Battle circle around the port? If so why is the Outer fort at Conil well outside it? Just wondering...

I suppose this is true but it is a problem somewhat unique to US coast and perhaps I (we) just have to adjust. But that's a mighty small area to go to for action. Between spies and the proximity to deep water ports owned by opposition that has plenty of other spots to grind, I think a few missions for at least 4th and 3rd wouldn't put our fabulous sailors in the op range. The area you mention is literally our only option without sailing for hours to play. When I say there's no foreign 5th a.i. up north, I mean its almost to the point where its broken. And working a deal to take a port afar cant happen anymore cause of the capitals first system, so 😔.
This is what happens when they removed 1/2 the Free Towns which is where the Foreign AI and layers would come from giving us PvP everywhere

Might work with a few tweeks.. ie.. no more then 3 Raids on any Nation in the same say 4 hour time frame total... It is still a game and expecting people to be able to defend a6 or 7 raids and a PB at the same time is just asking for people to quit.
Raid should be able to get a % of whatever is in any Production Buildings and storage at the time(resources)...and a % of city income... The City owners keep the city but cant do anything with it for 48 real hours and then no one can raid it again for 7-10 real life days AFTER they get full control back..
I would love raids to be a thing but I just not sure we will ever get them... Kind of like manned Forts... We know the Towers can be manned we did it all the time in the old days when we boarded them.. I think it would be awesome to have each one player controlled This would allow for some interesting Attack and Defense adjustments.. Maybe have the Forts BR reduce teh total Fleet defense BR? or for each fort the attacker get s bit more... based on Fort and Twer BRs?

We don't even do that now. It's only for your own ship that crew are rendered yet for some reason on most ships there's only half the visible guns manned.
I'm 99% sure mine and many other peoples computers can handle a few extra crewman on screen, OW AND in battle.
Not our PCs I am concerned with.. it is their servers:)

What should a new player kill there and what missions should he take?
Just do the Ttorial first... then take the Basic cutter out and hit Lynxs and trader Lynxs for a bit of cash... Then you can either sail to your area with a Basic Cutter or build the Rattlesnake you get for the first Exam and gun it and sail that If you have the spare cash also stop at Neutral or Free towns along the way and spend 400 and put and outpost in.. Getting rid of the one behind you... This way if you get killed you spawn there not back at Shroud

I only got the Hemp 3 because I could afford. Now working on gathering resources to start crafting TBs for XP... Shipyard is done and will likely never get used again once I have max LHs:)

The performance loss will be your system drawing all the crew of every ship in sight.

Can you say why have you done that? What was the purpose?
My guess is because the Final Exam is stupid... in a Real fight vs those odds the Surprise would damage sails and run away. Ai at out to about 300 yard has a High rate of hits and your ship has about 1/3 less thinkness then they do.. SUre it is doable.. I just did mine this morning after a couple trys. But I was at 5 min left when the 2nd one sank.. Toss in they have a lot of Marines and you dont have any so boarding is not the best option either... It is not a good test. It is almost the Naval Action Kobi Ashi Maru:)

Why not make his map THE map? It has way more info and a bunch of game tools than the one in game. New players need this sort of thing in game.
And allow him to pick a single ship that acts like a DLC that he can't sell or give away.. But means he always has a nice ship....

Agree with all of it. Outlaw was removed because of R zone, the R zone is now removed hence why there is no way to exploit it. I would add that you could bribe yourself to some kind of pardon or something from the country you came from or buy letter of marque from other nations
As I suggested more then once when I was a Pirate a year or so and further back... Pirates need 1 or 2 "safe" cities with resources and shipyards... Other wise they just operate out of Freetowns...No ships bigger then a 4th rate can be built or used.. They cant capture cities.. Only ships(any captures of 3rd rates and u are sold off .. not added to the fleet) . They can raid Ports for resources and gold.. Basicly a Port battle with limits. Pirates should be annoying not a Nation...

pls no dlc.. ingame content or rewards.. if everything becomes a dlc the game becomes so shallow that there wont be any point to do anything ingame.. its already a shame with the flag/paint dlc which would be best implemented as rewards for doing stuff ingame.
But IMO sails changing color to more greyish or the paint on the ship sligtly wearing off over time would be cool, to see which ships have "battle scars" etc
They already have the DLCs I mentioned and have said they will be adding to them for no extra. I just asking if this other item might be folded into one of them

This may still be the dumbest suggestion for a Sandbox MMO I have ever read... and that is a pretty high bar..

Any plans for Colors and Historical style designs for the Sails being added to the Paint or Flag DLC?

or at least have a weight cost for the crew, an undercrewed LGV with 60 men should be able to carry more stuff than a 200 men cause crew needs empty space and provisions that weight something
This is why they added Provision to the build cost of the ships back a while ago,.. ok a LONG while ago. How do you determine how much ammo? If we went with Historical amounts no one would finish a fight. We shoot a LOT more shots in any battle then were ever fired by a single ship in a real fight. Because most fights ended up being both sail away shot up.. that is why the few where a lot of ships sank or were captured get the big write ups in history. Because they were NOT the norm.. Now I prefer more historically accurate but sometimes you just gotta say nope.. They already restrict the special ammo.. What I haven't tested is that per battle or from Port to port? ie if I retag do I get my starting Double Shot Double Charge Grape and Chain again or is it gone till I go to port?

Allow Clans to Build a Clan Shipyard in their Capital with the Warehouse... Make it Cost Stupid amount.. But then allow the Clan to set which of their ship builders can use it... Rather then having each guy build a shipyard in the same port... Have 1 good one.. They could still have their own in other ports if they want.. but it is silly to have a dozen when one big one would work. It would also allow for crafting from the warehouse storage if coded properly..
I think I suggested this like 2 years ago also:)

If you spendall day running delivery's you can earn enough for one level one bulding (shipyard, workshop, forge). Most folks don't got all day doing that. The rewords for AI kills is so low right now it's a struggle to get any money for econ stuff. I honestly think they went way in the direction for these DLC. Even when you do get to craft a ship you limited on permits that drop from RNG box's.
Well in about 7 hours over 2 days when I came back this weekend.. I was able to build a Lvl 3 Hemp and Level 2 Iron plus buy all 8 Outpost permits and upgrade main Warehouse 2 or 3 times... Plus do the first Exam and get a Hurc...

Getting the mats and either crafting ships or having one crafted is not the problem. That is part of the game. It’s the actual process of organizing the materials that is unnecessarily tedious with so many clicks and switching screens. I really hope the new UI addresses this!
I just want to be able to make as many of one item as I want within the limits of my resources and Labor hours on a single damn click

Merchants and ship builders have never been able to keep up with demand. I hate trading and crafting but I had to craft just to keep myself in ships. Hardly any ships for sale are worth sailing.
Really? Ours seem to keep up fine.... only bottle neck is online times
