ah, not ment as britbashing.. my honest opinion is just that if you can't hold the ports at normal timer, don't hold it.. I know others have been using it as well, at least we(danes) used it when we took the french ports... But 60 out of 90 ports(reportedly) is a little to much imo.. I'll stand down from arguing on the topic.. no point anyways

and how fun would the server be if everyone did the same thing? should the europeans maybe move to the US server to be able to do something? but thank you for the honest answer:) I was starting to wonder why I had no respect for the british nation in this game, but not anymore

lol, seeing as the brits was so interested in whats in the best interest for the game when we reduced sweden to one port, i figured it would be in the right place to explain how this is ruining things for me.. I don't see how making things fair is so bad.. Even tho we were getting attacked by the brits, french and swedes at the same time (at 7 ports ish) we still had EU timers on them, even tho we could have made it horrendously annoying for them just to attack one of them. I'm not saying that using aussie/american timers is bad. Just not 60 out of 90 ports when the nation mostly consists of europeans, Then you've probably overextended and have a bad location on your ports, which is also the case as you don't have clear frontlines There is always a little bit too much heat on most of these forumposts, and people tends to forgets that they are actually playing with and against other humans.. But i must say that there is a difference in saying russians and saying british, which is an ingame nation, when referrering to the players. Why not call the danish-norwegians for danish, not russians? In this game the russians are danish-norwegians. I actually find it annoying and a little insulting being a norwegian, finally able to play my own nation, and then being called a russian. (even tho i have absolutely nothing against the russians in our nation, they are good friends and very cooperative) But i guess that's the aim of it. I don't know if you guys have actually noticed the likes of VIE in battles? I know for sure the SLRN had a hard time trying taking higuey from us...

So why not put some more defence timers at EU time? My guess is that besides Jeremie, only the ports closest to the americans har EU timers on it(I have not checked). I understand the need to prevent mass attacks. but please... These timers ruins the action and fun for alot of players. The timers is just set to prevent people from attacking and when people do you rarely defend. I would much rather fight a 25v25 PB and possibly lose than waking up in the middle of the night to hammer down some towers.. But as said, I understand it, please just tone the aussie timers down a little Just my 2 cents

If this keeps occuring, please take a note of where these players belong and their names. Not all players agree to the deal from our side, and the same goes for some swedish players still ganking missions in our waters. The problem is when some danish players won't stop doing it because some swedes still to it, and vica versa, making it almost impossible to make missionganking non-existant between the nations, unfortunately.. I hope these actions will seize, as it's a kind of broken mechanic in the first place.(because allies can't join) I don't think any player from any of the large clans participate in such events after publications of the treaty

So what you're essentially saying here is to be smart and set timers at night, like you do? I think there is alot of people in NA that sees timers like that as harming to the community as the dutch/danish actions this weekend. But hey, at least americans playing for other nations than the USN would have a great time Edit: Maybe not as harming, but still

That is the very reason why I stated that my choice of words might not be the very best, and used " " in lack of a better word. I was in no way trying to accuse you of anything and I'm truly sorry if that's how it was percieved, good sir. I was merely trying to defend our actions and that explain that we had no intend to do harm to the community at all. And when i said you, I of course didn't mean you, but the SLRN and/or any other british clan. As far as I'm aware the USN did this over several days before they actually stopped the battering of the spread out spaniards. We did it in a few hours.. Saturday i can not account for as i was not there, but my guess is that these offenses was just to make the swedes and french to agree to a peace, allthough the deadline might have been too short. I'm sure the end agreement is somewhat good, if you see it from a neutral point of view, seeing as we are giving back as good as all the ports taken. We all love this game and hope it thrives for years to come

This sounds great! What you are thinking is that you buy a flag as it is now and then when maintenance/port change comes it "decides" wether or not the proper actions has been taken in order to conquer it, right? Or do you have a choice to which kind of assault to perform when buying the flag?

While I personally agree with you in this, and agree that the danes took it a little too far this weekend (hopefully not making people quit the game and their nation), are you really saying that if we didn't show up to defend against you in your attempts to take Higuey, you wouldn't take another port? It might be that something you had used several hours planned was just over in 30 minutes, what then? You have all your forces in a splendid position with every able body ready to fight, that thirst for some PvP isn't gone after rolling down some towers. What would've happened if you take let's say Samana and Macao afterwards with little to no resistance, using 15 minutes each to capture and then you find out that the timer for Aguadilla, Cabo Rojo, Guanica etc was just coming up, meeting no resistance besides a couple of frigates in the earlier PBs, you wouldn't venture further? Would you really not try to demoralize us from our, I'm guessing, slightly bothersome attempts to seize the likes of Bani, or just to aquire a bufferzone? Well, we seized an opportunity, one that should not be possible to seize. I highly doubt that many other nations would even considered the "We can't go any further because it destructive for the community", unfortunately we all want to win, and crush the enemy we have been fighting hard with for several weeks. I'm sorry if my wording and choice of words might not be the very best, I'm merely trying to state that while we might have gone to far, I personally dislike this: and this ruthless attitude of using an unfinished mechanic to further National aims does nothing, I repeat nothing for the NA Community! I believe there is not many nations/clans out there in NA who could say they wouldn't have kept going for more ports in our situation. This should be fixed, but seeing that there is nothing hindering situations like this now, we as the players has to set the rules for ourself. I would also like to add that we did not do as the USN, taking ports without timers, we fought in both swedish and french prime-time(according to defence timers). (It might be one or two exceptions furthest south) This is just my personal opinions.. (I don't want Sweden to be reduced to a one port minor)

Set your timers at reasonable timers and maybe you'll see some more action there, I'm sick of people complaining about why we don't try to take the british! last night we tried at between 03-05 am our time.. There is a big difference in attacking in our prime time and in the middle of the night. Understand that please.

While i agree with your opinion on the timers, i must say that that's what we are facing in the west against the brits, mostly SLRN (01-03 for danish(++) and 03-05+ for the russians) .. It should also be said that in our trip southeast last evening we didn't have much time to discuss the best solution for the timers and had to go for the next one, thus setting temporary timers. Sorry about that
