A few months ago, i was in the local book store just after school. Sadly, it was going out of business, but there were great discounts. I found out they had a book about dutch naval heroes, like De Ruijter, Maarten and Cornelis Tromp, Piet Heyn and a lot more. I don't know where you're from, but if you can read dutch: the book is called "Zeehelden van de Gouden Eeuw". The paintings and drawings in the book are beautiful, just as the stories of the admirals, captains, etc...

Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter (24 March 1607 – 29 April 1676) was a Dutch admiral. He is the most famous and one of the most skilled admirals in Dutch history, most famous for his role in the Anglo-Dutch Wars of the 17th century.
