I've been on WOT for 2 years. The entire time - from day 1 - people were saying it was a dying game. Still seems to be going pretty strong to me....

Pfffff - people will always say that to promote their particular idea of what's wrong with the game.  "Xyz is killing the game!  Population is dying!  Everyone that left obviously agrees with me!"

Faith some of you in this game is amazing. Don`t be disappointed after the release. Even if this game hit 1000 - 1100 players it will be still same unbalanced Naval with lot of unrealised ideas.

Maybe.  The odd development decisions have caused years of hair-pulling.  However, we're getting what we're getting and I'm going to make the best go of it that I can. We're all frustrated about this and that and a few other things, but there's no excuse for disgruntled people peeing in the pool trying to spoil things for everyone.

How did you get there, tried going through south yesterday but didn't work?

    :(

You could sail into the land at the right points at the very edges of the map when I did it in the autumn.   I went via the ditch east of Sao Tome, going south south south right along the edge of the map under the land, then after hitting the corner of the map went west west west under Venezuala and the Andes until I popped out into the Pacific.  On the return trip I went under the land on the west edge of the map near Acapulco and north north north under Oklahoma to the corner, then east east east until I popped out into the bit of water that allowed me to enter the Atlantic just east of the most northern "American" port.

I've done the PVE server and found it very much the same, regardless of what part of the map you are on.  We're not talking a small area here.  The Gulf is more than large enough to give a player all the advantages of the entire PVE server.

The Gulf doesn't have the Antilles, Trinidad, Haiti, Panama, Bermuda, Carolina, etc, etc etc.  I don't know why some people have such a hard time understanding that PVE players don't want to be confined to part of the map.  They want to be able to go everywhere, see everything, have ports wherever they like, fly any flag they please, and not have to deal with azzhats attacking them.

Steam does not list Naval Action in their incoming release lists.

10-14 days to release and no advertisements about the game have been made. Last news about NA date from early 2016.

And people are expecting a good release.

Well, it's probably good that new people aren't tempted to purchase in the last days of early access, due to the low population extreme saltiness.  Let them only see the fresh new beginning after release.

  6. Add Buenaventura and Acapulco (slightly fudged position) and maybe another central one as supply ports, teleports disabled, and put in the Galapagos.  Instead of canals just leave the subterrainean routes we're familiar with to keep it a journey.  Fishing, bottles, and artifacts, asian goods and resources to haul back.  Some sort of NPC population to encounter.   Pacific scenery to enjoy:

As I said, all players in a clan - if they have been inactive for more than a month the clan tag/name would be wiped.

I'd imagine that about 6 months after release inactive early access character and clan names could be deleted and released for re-use, and perhaps continuing on inactivity periods of at least 13 month intervals thereafter.
