To be honest I will probably miss the port UI. I have 2500 hours into this game and love the calm, blue background and crisp text. I love the game as it is, and can't wait for the changes.
I play the hand I am dealt, if something is wonky I make sure the devs are aware and then simply adapt to the situation
I didn't have the hours to build a santa cecelia until after downtime. BP was pulled... I pissed and moaned a bit then moved on. I would love to buy one from a player, or cap one...
But the game is no less enjoyable for me because I didn't get a certain sparkly.

I tip my hat to you Sir, your act of mercy and gentlemanly behaviour in your conduct with this lower level player is to be commended. Your furthur understanding that this is alpha testing of a game, and how we are ALL community members of this great adventure called Naval Action.
Kudos to you, I always end every match with a GG, win, lose or draw. When I see you out in the OW I will salute you, as I sink you or get sunk by you.

If it like previous patches, any new goods will not show on your map until you revisit a port. The items stored in a port when in map mode are saved client side. Old info will still be there

This email was sent out the day before the attack on Little Caymon. It appears Spain was abandoned by a clan who "has more people in our clan than all of Sweden combined".

We expect them to attack the ports they want, when the timers are set, and if they win they reset timers to their liking. A port conquest should always favour the defending nation, having the port timer in the holding faction's prime time functions as that advantage.
Taking a port should be difficult, we get no assistance from Spain when we attack Spanish ports, as it should be. That works both ways.
tl/dr Adapt, play the damn game as it exists and stop pissing and moaning.
Note to devs: maybe make Spanish capital in the far northwest gulf, just a thought

Little note about the timers, we stay up very late or wake up very early to take a port that is on a timer that is silly (silly timers as we see it) and put it on a timer that is reasonable to us, as in our prime time.
He who takes the port controls the timer, he who can sacrifice sleep to take that port against the odds wins the spoils of war being the Lord Protector.
This is a simple thing, whoever owns the port sets timer to his liking, not that of the defeated. We fully expect if Spain takes an Aussie port you will set it to EU primetime, that is the game.

I think port timers end will be like Brexit
When that happens we will simply build up, coordinate and take those ports back... once again.
When the whole conquest era begins, there will be a whole new batch of Spanish tears washing the forums, which will end with the Spaniards being something new to Great Britain...

I have an issue I have tried everything I can think of to rectify without success. Basically I can form a group, or be invited into a group and be part of a group but the group list is not on my screen (group flags are there over teammates). I am not able to leave the group, kick a member or dissolve a group. I can only ask in TS or chat for someone to kick me when I need to leave the group.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted game files (port info, how I miss you). Unistall everything including steam and reinstall, nothing works.
What am I missing?

Would love to get in on this, didn't bother before because it fell on days I worked. A 3v3 sounds like a lot of fun. I will see if I can rally some AUS guys. Important thing, what times are we talking for the matches?

5 minutes in battle screen, and 5 minutes in a battle instance after your opponent leaves. Maximum wait of 10 minutes to retag. If they don't pop out, they logged off.
There are very legitimate reasons to log off after a long, drawn out fight. Ie: go to work, take the dog out, talk to your wife, kids are on fire etc...
Be reasonable fellows.

Put -0- crew on a capped ship and the AI will ignore it the rest of the fight. Just don't damage it so much it's full of holes and going to sink without men to furiously man the pumps.
