Small update : A few teams did not answer the PM we sent them ! theses "team contacts" should have a look at there PMs : KIN Team 1 WO Team 1 WO Team 2 ARSE Team 1 ARSE Team 2 SLRN Team 2 TDA Team 2 All 25 other teams are ready and good to go ! As soon as the last teams have finalised, well shuffle the teams in 8 groups. We may bring a few modifications to avoid same clans being in same groups. As soon as it is done, we'll all link you to the Tournament "interface" where you will be able to see all the groups and matches to come ! ETA around begining of next week

2 teams have withdrawn the Tournament. As Olav said a few days ago, a PM has been sent to the 3 late registration teams (SLRN T3, BT T1, LG T1). - BT Team 1 just finished there registration and are in the tournament ! - SLRN Team 3 just finished there registration and are in the tournament !

^ What Olav and Hethwill said. 32 teams equals 8 groups of 4 teams in stage 1 (from A to H). The 2 first 2 teams of each group qualify for stage 2. That whay you have 16 teams so you can do 8 matchs in 1/8 finals, then 4 in 1/4 finals, 2 in demi-finals, and lastly, the final ! We will also make a match between the 2 teams that lost in demi finals to know who is number 3 ! Theoretically we could add more, but that would mean some teams skipping stage 2 first round, and others not. And we cant open the registration forever can we ? Everything is ready on challonge (so you guys will be able to visualise all this). You'll just have to click on a match to see the screenshots and a link to the video/streaming (if all goes well). We are just waiting for every team contact to answer the PM we sent them, then link you all this and start the real thing !

As Hethwill reminded just above, you shoud all assigne your reserves to one specific team, not a clan. Olav probably said that to able you guys to have time to decide, it was not that important during the competition registration start, as we had time. Dont forget it is mainly a 3v3 team tournament, not a clan tournament. Nevertheless, Aphilas has been added to Rubli Team 1 reserve !

Some matches will most likely be played the week end, some will be played weekdays. It will all depend on each team's availability.

We have a "final" meeting tonight between all the Judges. Olav will most likely make an announcement concerning most "complicated" questions - and the final decision as to the tournament starting date - as soon as we're done ! So stay tuned !

We (The French council) immediately stated we where going to defend our allies the Danes. We never stated anything about joining any alliance other then the one we have at this moment : Meaning the Danes and our support to the Spanish (though we are not helping them as much as we would like to.). Also, we have no grudge against other Pirates clans and/or independents that did not intervene in this conflict or French national affairs. Please limit your statements regarding France to what has effectively been officially said by our Council representatives.

I think Olav was referring to the "team list" (roster) for both ROYAL teams (I'm still missing one SORRY team Roster too) KIN team is all ok (payed and roster ok). PKF we have the roster, not the payment. The SORRY clan is part of the Pirate "Nation". However, the Pirate "nation" is not the SORRY clan. It's like apples and fruits : Apple is a fruit, however all fruits are not apples. So please, avoid lumping together "Pirates" and the "SORRY clan" that way. The Danish clearly stated and I quote : As Tenakha stated, our council is gathering to speak about this matter. Meanwhile we will defend our friends and allies ports if they are attacked.

If you haven't done so, be sure to pay for your inscription BEFORE tonight (Edit : 09 of August, 22h30 / 10h30 PM Server time) to Olav Van Deng. If you really cant reach him, try one of the judges (Hethwill, Kair Alzahir or M G). The fee is 200k per team. Indeed it is not possible anymore. Olav told me we would probably use the small battles if we had to.

IF some perks are forbiden, this will be enforced by the judges. Seeing that 2 repairs pop on the same captain is easy. for the rest, it's harder to see, but I'm sure Judges will be up to the task (Recording and the threat of disqualification of captains that violate the rules will probably help !). Dont take my word for it, Olav is the organisation and has the final word on all this, this is just common sense to me.

OW battles are open for 2 minutes only, and you need to be on the spot to enter. So it will be alot easier to control then small battles. Also, I'm sure rules will be given as soon as they are ready. Keep in mind peoples are organising this as a first fun compétition. Participate if you want to have fun, not in regard of a few rules that will only be there to give as much "equity" as possible. Rules will most probably be "simple" and there to give everyone the same chances. As for Officers not beeing allowed, makes sens but I fear it is impossible to really control ? All the juges are supposed to meet tomorow, so rules should be posted then Keep up the good work Olav !

I really dont think that speeding up the time or shrinking the world would be good thing. Maybe you are asking too much of yourself ? I mean, it does feel like you are indeed trying to "compete" but why dont you try enjoying things differently. Someone (sorry, dont remember "who") said something about "adapting" your play style to the amount of time you have. That is what I do too. When I have a lot of work, I log in, do a bit of hauling to get ressources in, craft to prepare my ships etc. If I need action, and have a bit more time, I TP to "La Tortue" and I get some action in less then 5 minutes there. But my favorite thing is when I have an entire evening for me. Then I take my frigate, and just go hunting. Takes me time, I need to search for targets, track them, engage... I usually go for the biggest ship I can, so figths are pretty long going from 45 minutes to a full 1h30 (and that's only for the fighting itself). But the entire point of that hunting is the combination of all that. Chasing my prey and eventually getting the well deserved kill is part of what I prefer. Some days, like you, I am frustrated cause I dont have the hours I need to get these "favorite hunting moments", unfortunately narrowing the the possibilities will most likely just take most of the fun away in my opinion. You most probably wont be able to do everything you want, and that's also what makes time so precious. Learning how to enjoy everybit of time spent on this game (or many other things in life for me at least) is something which helped me a lot. As a British, I would suggest Plymouth or Carriacou if you want a bit of action with the French, or La Tortue for action with well... Everyone. I know the spanish are always up for a few good fights so you could probably have a look near Tumbado, but havent been there a lot. Also, you could try and contact MrDoran from the RAKKERS, he's always up for a good duel, but be prepared, he wont go easy on you ! Sail safe captain !

Plenty of old names there ! Would gladly join if I manage to get a team up and running. I'll keep you updated.
