Whoa. That is a beauty. Look at those sleek lines...

@Brigand: Apparently the Essex is in-game. I don't know if any of her stats listed in the OP need to be changed, but her name doesn't need to be grayed out anymore.
-
You know, despite being pirate-fantasy bollocks with somewhat dated graphics, that actually doesn't look too bad. It doesn't look as bad as I expected it to, anyway. Or at least it didn't until that sea monster showed up at the end of the trailer... :lol

I think that's gotta be like the third time I've seen that ship proposed for this vote. Cripes.
-
Oh, I'm not in any hurry, really; I'm just curious.
-
By the way, any idea when the next stage of voting might happen? The other thread's been closed for almost 2 weeks now.
-
Another one with a big sail plan. :lol
-
Are they sure they put enough sails on her? Bloody hell.
-
-
Uh, isn't that the Surprise?
-
I wonder:
1.) What the different color codes (blue, green, yellow) mean regarding those "projects"?
2.) What the "Project von Kepler" is?
-
I figured out that NA meant Naval Action (), but I guess I'm wondering why that tag is needed. I mean, we're in the Naval Action section of the forum; it'd be odd if a thread here wasn't Naval Action-related.

Out of curiosity, why did all these threads get their names altered?
-
She's certainly ornate...
By the way, I wonder if Empire: Total War's Fluyt is based off of her? The designs seem similar.
-
No pictures/plans of her?
-
Cerberus is a corvette, as far as I know, but we could do with more.
-
Why don't you guys make a separate thread for that tech tree/chart-thing. Just an idea.
-
But you guys should realize that she has less firepower than Trinc or Belle Poule, with a hullform that makes sure she'll go nowhere fast.
She's a bigger target than a Belle Poule, too.

From your friends in the United States, our best wishes to the French people.
Just chiming in to support what my fellow Yank above me said. My sympathies go out to the French. While we're unlikely to be so fortunate, let's pray that such an attack doesn't happen again.

That's fancy one. Big, too, if she carries 50 guns
Also, about Fama (post #2): How is she a frigate? She's basically a 64-gun 3rd rate SoL.

It looks like the number of proposals being added in the voting thread has slowed to a halt over the past 10 days or so (at least until Mirones' post this morning). Do you think it's time for the next round of voting, then?

No. I don't want to have to grind through another series of tech trees like in the Wargaming titles or War Thunder. Let's have this game be better than that.

Also:
Diadème
Illustre
Pacificateur
Conquérant
Sceptre
Magnifique
AtlasNow those are some cool names for ships.

Am I the only one who think's Plerrick is joking/trolling? :lol
I mean, either he is joking and people are taking it too seriously, or he's getting too worked up over something that most people probably don't give a damn about. I mean, it's a new and pretty cool (in my humble opinion) ship that's getting implemented into the game, and that we're going to be able to play. Who cares if it wasn't all that successful in real life? Hell, as Villeneuve's flagship at Trafalgar, it still had a prestigious position in real life, even if it isn't renowned for its success in the fighting.

I'd just like to see the next round of voting started sometime soon.
