If Ingermanland comes ingame as she was she will be slower, worse turning and has a very noticable lack in HP compared to a 74 gunner.
Ingermanland's an old ship, though. I'd imagine (though I could be wrong) that a 64 from later in the 1700s would stand a better chance against a 74-gun ship like Bellona.

And the Pickle just rights itself and sails away like

*Emperor Palpatine voice* Your feeble electrical system is no match for the power of the Dark Side of the Indiaman!

So yes, currently the 64-gun line is pretty filled.
Uh, what? The only 64 we have ingame is Ingermanland, and she's not even completely released yet, isn't she?
-
Well, that's good news. Maybe we can get it going again before we find ourselves in the second half of 2016.
-
your progress will be reset.
Admittedly, that might not be much of a threat. We just had a wipe a few days ago, so people might not lose very much progress if they get wiped again.

An older-style (without the later flush-deck design) American 74? And a very good-looking one, too? Yes, please.

I'm waiting to see what, if anything, Jim Sterling has to say about it, since he tends to cover stuff in Early Access. I mean, I don't know if he'll say anything good (since he tends to be pretty negative), but it would be promising if he did.

A fully armed spar deck and that colour scheme...I´d guess this Urania was built (or rebuilt) in the 1830s or 1840s.
Agreed, from what I know.

Heh, by the look of her in those pictures, I think she might've been the Retribution, another ship from Hornblower. See here.
-
That is one seriously unattractive-looking ship.

You might want to edit out the foul language, dude. I don't have an issue with it, but the moderators don't seem to like that sort of thing.
-
Heh, it's not that hard. Grand Turk's kinda distinctive-looking, for whatever reason, and I've seen her in Hornblower enough to know her pretty well when I see her.

I can see the resemblance between a sunny island in the Caribbean and a town in the north west of England. I'm not sure what you mean sorry.
He means that "HMS Phoenix" (if that's what she's called now) is/was also known as l'Étoile du Roy, and before then was known as Grand Turk. She played HMS Indefatigable in the Hornblower TV series.

I guess I don't remember reading any specifics about the "real" HMS Ontario being introduced into the game, but I'll take your word for it. The Pirate Frigate, as far as I know, is a just a variant of the regular frigate. I don't know how different its stats are. The "generic" 74/3rd Rate uses one of the Bellona's old models/textures (without the Bellona's ornate stern), but might have a different armament range. I'm sure there are other forum members who know more.
Also, there's this ship: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/7165-what-is-the-ship-on-this-screen/ Gros Ventre, a light merchant ship.
-
Why is the Ontario listed in the OP and greyed out (meaning not released yet), when the Snow (which is basically the Ontario afaik) is also listed in the OP and is also in-game already? Also, isn't the "Pirate Frigate" in-game? Also, if you're listing variants, there's the unnamed "74/3rd Rate" that's in the game right now.

While napoleonic era uniforms are cool, I prefer the style of the late 17th/early 18th century:

Style. Monsieur de Tourville has it
Probably not historically accurate, but this is what I thought of when I saw that: http://cdn.collider.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Musketeers-cast.jpg

I knew a Leander/Newcastle thread would pop up sooner or later
Haven't we done this before?
-
To me, she's still Indefatigable.

Napoleonic Era military (especially naval) officer's uniforms. I don't know if they'd be a pain to actually wear or do anything in these days, but at least they look cool.

Not to be a smart-arse, but I think the Shipyard's the place for posting ship suggestions, OP.

...especially if this rude statement related to a person sister, mother or brother.
I guess dads are fair game, then?

we need Danish ships
I'm sure we'll get Danish ships at some point. Don't worry.

@That first rate: Whoa. A bit old for me, but... that is one heck of a ship.
I also like that 64 (judging by the gun ports, though you call it a frigate) in the post above that of the 1st rate. Its design seems nicely streamlined, both literally and figuratively. It's decorated, but without going crazy on the decorations.
