Jon Allen
Coming onboard Naval Action this week, I've already learned a lot, thanks in part to an active community on the forums. There are useful guides and tips on a whole range of topics, plus people willing to answer questions. I have noticed one strange gap however, and that is in the area of visuals for the ships. There are some good screenshots here or there, and occasionally you catch a youtube video featuring one you are looking for, but a lot of the ships that I'm eyeing in the ship store I just can't find an in-game engine picture of, especially up close, from different angles. I know the "stats" for the ships are subject to change and will likely change, but I imagine the ships already in the game won't be remodeled much at this point. I'm already thinking in terms of which ships I want next as I progress through the game, but I really want to lay eyes on them before spending the gold. So if anybody is looking for a new project.... maturin
There should be gameplay videos of every ship on YouTube if you look around a bit.
Ned Loe
This was addressed to devs multiple times. I think after game is out they will add more pictures and icons.

Arvenski
For videos (not in-depth reviews of ships, but just to get an idea of what different ships look like), try this channel and this channel.
