Kimball
Hello , As i've said in my topic posted in "suggestions" forum : http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/6801-put-some-ships-from-16th-and-17th-centuries/ It would be nice to add some ships from 16th and 17th centuries, to enable players to play ships like galeons, which were famous ships from the beginning of the age of sail. That's why i present the following ship : Neptune , replica of a former spanish galeon . Info : Name: Il Galeone Neptune Builder: Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia Launched: 1986 Homeport: Genoa, Italy General characteristics Tonnage: 1500 tons Length: 65 m Beam: 16.40 m Draft: 2.2 m Propulsion: Full-rigged ship Speed: 5 knots (9.3 km/h; 5.8 mph) I have chosen this ship for it well represents the line of a galeon of the 17th century, even it's a replica. Here there a photo of the ship. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neptune_(galleon)#/media/File:%D0%9F%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%8B_%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B1%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%BE_%D0%BC%D0%BE%D1%80%D1%8F-1.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neptune_(galleon)#/media/File:%D0%9F%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%8B_%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B1%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%BE_%D0%BC%D0%BE%D1%80%D1%8F-3.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neptune_(galleon)#/media/File:Pirates,_Roman_Polanski,_boat_Genova.jpg It would be nice to add also a famous galeon of an explorer of the 16th century. OlavDeng2
one thing is adding a ship that is from the end of the 17th century(like the seven provinces) anything before that really cant compete with more modern ships, in pretty much every way thus i would say that(as a lot of people on the other thread have said) they wont really fit in this game edit: this goes especially for old ships pre 17th century(16th century and earlier) Edited August 30, 2015 by OlavDeng2
maturin
Not an authentic-looking vessel. Which shouldn't be surprising, given that she was built for a comedy film.
