would be nice if we in age of sails could have a drydock where we could look at ships of all types in a 360 views

It would be cool to be able to see the ships in a 360 degree form while in the harbor. However, the current system is fine and would take a lot of effort away from far more important things that the game needs.

Wet Dock

You can press P for Pause and then use the Q and E keys to rotate and the mouse wheel to zoom in and out and you can see every little ship detail (above the water line).

When not in Pause mode you can see action a bit closer (but with less control) targeting a ship (first) with right click and then select the targeting red circle action to view not only the target ship but it is a perspective higher in the mast and rigging where the zoom also works. Left click allows you to "zero in" on a particular area of the enemy ship. Right click to exit.
